4th Place Rex Paddock $15.00

Ms. Sweety started the night by visiting Rex Paddock (Visitor) in the 3rd Game of the evening and helped Rex beat "Trooper" Tom Varnell.  She then head in the direction of Wayne "Super Trooper" Von Clasen in Game 5.  Apparently she liked Rex's company better and didn't take long to find her way back to him.  She helped Rex skunk his opponent in Game 5.  Rex must have had superglue on his hand, he held onto Ms. Sweety for the rest of the evening and took home $18 for his skill cards!

EVENT HAPPENINGS

First
was Jim "Teacher" Duff who turned in a 16 Gm Pt, 7 W, +126 Sprd Pts card tonight.  Jim started the evening hot (beat Rex by 1 point!) and held on for a wild ride to finish with 16 points at the end of the evening.  He won 5 straight games including two skunks in the first five games.  He nearly double skunked Gerald Gibson (Guest) in Game 4.  He wrapped up the night by winning two and losing two in his last 4 games of the evening.  Good job Jim, keep up the good peggin!

Second was Wayne "Super Trooper" Von Clasen who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 7 W, +91 Sprd Pts card.  Wayne started off by recording a skunk over his opponent in the first game of the night.  He went on to win the next two games but couldn't find enough 5's in his sleeves to beat Mike "Mr. Quizno's" Clapper in Game 4.  Wayne turned things around in the last half by winning 4 of 5 including a last game win over Pat "Driller" Jungmann by 3 points.  If Pat would have won the last game Wayne would have ended up in 3rd place and Pat would have vaulted into 1st Place.....Good job Wayne!

Third was Pat "Driller" Jungmann who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 6 W, +123 Sprd Pts card.  Yes, this was a 15 point 6 win card...no typo's just some good peggin by Pat to record 3 skunks!  This was a night that you didn't want to play Pat.....he beat his opponents by an average nearly 27 points each!  His skunks were against Helen "The Hellion" Daniels in Game 3, "Big" Willie Evans in Game 4, and Dewayne "Big E" Eisenbarth in Game 6.  Good job Pat!

Fourth was Rex Paddock (Visitor) who turned in a 14 Gm Pt, 6 W, +85 Sprd Pts card.  Rex got off to a slow start but made up ground as the night went on.  He lost his first two games, including a 1 point loss in the first game of the night against Jim "Teacher" Duff.  Rex turned things around and won 5 straight games including back to back skunks in Games 4 & 5.  He lost a close Game 8 to Mike "Mr. Quizno's" Clapper and beat Helen "The Hellion" Daniels in Game 9.  Good job Rex!

Fifth was John "Rotten" Reed who turned in a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W, +60 Sprd Pts card.  John started off with a first game loss to David "Da Boz" Bosley but quickly turned the night around by winning 4 games in a row.  He came up against Helen "The Hellion" Daniels who was having a rough night but she made quick work out of beating John to end his winning streak.  John won a close Game 7 against "Big" Willie Evans but lost to "Bad" Betty Morehouse in Game 8.  John went on to win the last game of the night to record a 12 point, 6 win card that edged out David "Da Boz" Bosley for 5th Place.  Unfortunately only the top three players tonight recieved points....John and David did not.....none the less, good job John!

HONORABLE MENTION

Gerald Gibson (Guest) former friend of John "Saweet" Hensley recorded a string of pearls (no wins).  It's hard to believe but Johns only friend in the world probably won't talk to him again because John invited him down for a night of cribbage......and Gerald had a rough night.   The good news is that there is only room for improvement next week, it was fun to see a new face around the club.
