Ms. Sweety
only moved three times tonight. She
started off by visiting Pat “Driller” Jungmann in the first Game and helped him
skunk Shirley “Buzz Saw” Guest. Visitor
Channing Holmes got in on the action by stealing Ms. Sweety in Game 2 and she
helped him squeak out a victory over Helen “The Hellion” Daniels. Jeremy “The Cat” Morris was the next pegger
to declare 24 and it was in Game 4 against Martin “Ole #1” Hellberg. Jeremy missed skunking Martin by 1
point…..Martin wouldn’t let Jeremy count it as a 25 for some reason! Jeremy took home $14 for his skill cards!
EVENT HAPPENINGS
First was Pat “Driller” Jungmann who
turned in a 18 Gm Pt, 8 W, +171 Sprd Pts card tonight. Pat rocketed out of
the starter box and never looked back…. nearly recording a grand slam! In his opening game he skunked Shirley
“Buzz Saw” Guest. He followed that
up with 2 wins before skunking John “Saweet” Hensley. Pat squeaked out a victory in Game 5 over
Jeremy “The Cat” Morris where Jeremy was nice enough to deal Pat a 16 hand
when Pat was 16 points out and had first count! Pat won 3 more games to be sitting at 18 points after the 8th
Game. Helen “The Hellion” Daniels
out pegged him in the last game for his first loss of the night. Good job Pat, you are making the club points
race competitive…. keep up the hard work!
Second was John “Rotten”
Reed who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 7 W, +54 Sprd Pts card. John like Pat
started the night off with a skunk over Martin “Ole #1” Hellberg. He didn’t have as good of luck in the 2nd
and 3rd games and ended up losing both. He turned things around by winning 6 straight games to end the
night. Good job John, you are in a
close 2nd Place in the points race!
Third was Channing
Holmes who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 7 W, +47 Sprd Pts card. Channing and fellow pegger Rick Westerman
stopped by on their way to the Baker City tournament. Both are from the Wenatchee area, Rick has a goal of playing in
all Washington clubs. Channing started
off on the wrong foot by getting skunked by “Trooper” Tom Varnell in the
first game. He turned things around by
winning the next two games. New member Aaron
Drivdahl out pegged Channing in the 4th Game to give Channing his
second (and final) loss of the night.
Channing put together a 5 game win streak to end the night including a
Game 8 skunk over Rick Westerman…..I bet that was a interesting drive to
Baker City! Good job Channing, it was
nice to meet you.
Fourth was Shirley
“Buzz Saw” Guest who turned in a 11 Gm Pt, 5 W, +38 Sprd Pts card. Shirley has been on a role lately and
continued tonight. She, like Channing,
started off by getting skunked in the 1st Game by Pat “Driller”
Jungmann. She then edged out David
“Da Boz” Bosley by 2 points and started a mini-win streak of 3 games. The streak included a skunk over “Trooper”
Tom Varnell in the 3rd Game.
She then went on a roller coaster ride for the rest of the night,
winning a game then losing a game.
Shirley left early thinking her 11 point card was not good enough. Little did she know there was not any 12
point cards and she narrowly edged out Aaron Drivdahl by a few Net
Spread Points to slip into 4th Place. Good job Shirley!

SPECIAL POOLS
Wayne “Super Trooper” Von
Clasen counted the ever elusive 23 hand for a cool $10 at the end of the
night.
28/29 POOL
Pat “Driller”
Jungmann had a shot at a 28 when he was dealt 4-5’s but couldn’t cut a face
card….this chance at a 28 is tough to deal (probability 1 in 14,664) but the easiest to draw too with nearly 39%
of the deck consisting of 10 point cards.
Aaron Drivdahl also had a shot at a 28 by holding 3-5’s and a
Queen but couldn’t cut the other 5. Rick
Westerman (Visitor) counted a 28 hand but wasn’t eligible for half of the
pool because he was a visitor. None the
less, the probability of getting a 28 are 1 in 170,984 hands and that will give
Rick something to brag about at his home club!
The pool is capped at $504 until someone hits a 28 or 29 hand.
SKUNK FUND
The skunk fund
was busy tonight, it received $2.25 at the end of the evening, WE THANK ALL OF
YOU!!
