:: FLAMINGO HEIGHTS ::~

Emily McKenna never dreamed she would be leaving her high paying job in New York and moving back to Flamingo Heights. But the aging town that she grew up in, once a popular tourist destination, is going bankrupt and her grandmother Ruth McKenna isn’t going to let it slip into history without a fight. Knowing Ruth’s heart would break if Flamingo Heights turned into a ghost town, Emily decides to help her turn the family’s historic home into a bed and breakfast. But things just go from bad to worse as their contractor suddenly disappears along with the rest of their cash and a determined real estate developer has been making offers to buy their property and the town.

Evan Wakefield thought buying a piece of insignificant property on Florida’s west coast would be a piece of cake. Enough so that he spent millions of dollars in blue prints on a five star resort. But for some reason, the mostly retired people of Flamingo Heights aren’t biting at his offer. So Evan decides to pay a visit to Flamingo Heights and make the citizens an offer they can’t refuse. But he wasn’t expecting to do battle with a cute curvy blonde who makes him go weak in the knees. In Evan’s world business always comes before pleasure, so if he can charm Emily, maybe he can charm Flamingo Heights matriarch Ruth McKenna, into selling Flamingo Heights? Or will Emily charm Evan into giving her his heart?

:: HEART OF THE PHOENIX ::~

The last thing Claire Dalton expected when she took a job as a computer expert for a secretive info tech company was that she would be working on computers from outer space. After all she doesn’t believe in little green men from Mars. So when the company is contracted by the United States government to decode the workings of a computer onboard an odd looking aircraft, she assumes it’s a new type of covert spy plane. But she quickly changes her mind after going inside and grabbed by two very tall muscular men, dressed in strange clothes, who speak in a language unlike any she’s ever heard, who order her to get them out of the highly guarded building. How is it that she can understand them? And her image of little green men… has been altered forever.

A former enemy of the Federation and no return communication from the cruiser, a chase ensues and the cruiser is shot down over Earth. When the doors reopen a beautiful red haired woman steps inside and Drakar is taken a back when he hears the beating of her heart, a sign of a soul mate.

:: SOUL OF THE PHOENIX ::~

Dear Reader The darkest day of my life came when by brother’s soul departed on its eternal journey. On Earth you call this death. My sorrow comes not because his physical form has left this dimension, but because it was at my hands. My heart cries with each breath I take, and I feel my soul slipping away like a handful of sand that passes between your fingers as you try to hold on to it.  I am awaiting trial, willing to face the same fate as my brother but I will not be so lucky to be buried a hero as he. No more am I called General; my title has been striped from all Draconian records. No more do I wear the bands of honor in my hair for my many victories in battle. After my head was shaved they were thrown away. Instead of lying across my brother’s chest as he lies in state they lie with the sewage. My father can no longer look at me and my mother weeps for the second son she has lost. Yes, I’m as good as dead, perhaps worse.

My friend and blood rite brother, Drakar is the only one who still talks to me and even though he stands beside me, I see doubt in his eyes. So when he sent me a message asking if I would go to Earth to protect his sister-in-law, I couldn’t refuse even though I’m forbidden to leave Draconia as I await trail. Now that I’m here on Earth I will try to convince Grace Dalton to leave and come to Draconia where she will be safe from the evil that has ruined my life and is coming to take hers. But this woman I was sent to protect is a mystery. Tall and thin, she sometimes walks with a limp. While she appears physically weak, she cares for abandoned Earth children with an inner strength that rivals the power of a black hole. It is because of them that she refuses to leave. So I must stay to protect her and keep my promise to Drakar, the only person that will speak my name or ever remember me when I’m gone. As I watch Grace care for the unwanted, do I dare wonder if she could care for me…the dammed?

She also makes these delicious frosting covered breads called cinnamon buns that send his taste buds reeling.
