It still looks like rain when we get up this morning. It'll probably be cold working up on Roan Mountain until some of the clouds burn off. I say my good-byes and Bob drives them all off for a workday at 8:30 AM. I'm alone at the hostel with "Lucky Duck". She is still nursing a bum leg for a day or so until "Hiker Chick" catches up. "Ramsey" headed out north from Watauga Lake this morning.

I pack all of gear and get ready for Alice to pick me up at 10:30 AM. It's been another great experience. Now I've completed the trail from Springer Mountain, Georgia through to Damascus. Over four hundred and fifty miles, twenty percent of the distance. Can't wait to head north from there!
