Kay S. Peterson, WCMT, NCTMB and BFA has been a resident of Eau Claire, Wisconsin since 1979 and a massage therapist since 1992. Kay is a leader in her profession having served on the Board of Directors of the American Massage Therapy Association Wisconsin Chapter (AMTA_WI) since 1997 as education coordinator for the chapter as well as serving as newsletter editor and publisher for the chapter's award winning quarterly publication, Connecting Hands (sample). She has also worked as a reviewer of several textbooks for massage therapists including the new edition of Pharmacology for Massage Therapy. Kay has built a successful massage practice, Essential Massage, and manages the Essential Massage Therapy Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The center currently has three massage therapists using the facility. Instructor Kay Peterson received her Certification in NeuroMuscular Therapy from The NMT Center in St. Petersburg, FL in 1993. She has repeated many of the courses in the series as well as having assisted in several NMT trainings since that time. Kay's thriving practice in Eau Claire, WI was built on her knowledge of NMT and her pursuit of further training by many of the top presenters in the field, including Judith Walker–Delany, Bob King, Aarron Mattes, Whitney Lowe, David Kent, John Latz, James Waslaski and many more. Kay has integrated stones into her practice since 2001 and has found that the use of heated and cool stones is a simple and effective tool that augments all other massage techniques.Kay's love for nature and organic gardening since childhood has lead to a strong connection with the earth and it's processes.
