the archetypes appearing in Dmoll's process of individuation

the oldest human archetype: it's hypothetical necessity, sufficient conditions to be the underlying structure of the unconsciousness, and it's current non-manifestations,  Utrecht 1994)

...the process of individuation comprises a journey that may be called self-awareness. it is a journey that may be taken on consciously with sincere motivation under the auspices of a therapeutic guide or, as in some rare individuals, the process may simply begin independently without conscious desire or control. it is the latter with whom i shall be concerned in this book; the latter to whom i shall allude as the religious personality, whose journey overwhelms the individual and appears to exert total control over him. it is with this individual and his journey that i will be my focus. (p 12)

...i will assume that the reader possesses some rudimentary knowledge of jung's psychology... (if not, one of the finest introductions may be found here.) (p 14)

...the process of individuation in the religious personality consists of the following archetypes in order of their 'depth' in the psyche: the shadow=> the anima/animus=> the culture hero=> the wise old man/woman=> the symbol of the self. (p 23) ...however, below even the symbol of the self lies the most fundamental archetype,-- one which acts as a bridge between the human species and its ancient evolutionary substrate in the animal kingdom. i refer to the hitherto ignored archetype of the group or collective. (p 15)

....the religious personality is not concerned with the theological polemic,- that is, with constructs stemming from rationalizations of established ritual found in mature religions*-- for this polemic is mainly concerned with a justifications of an existing structure.
