Troop Advancement
So you want to be an Eagle! Advancing in rank in Boy Scouting is a great honor. Although it may seem like a long trail to Eagle, the journey begins and progresses with just one step at a time. Advancing in rank is as easy as 1-2-3. 1. Learn and test out on the skills in your book. Practice them with your parents, other scouts, or adult leaders at home or meetings or outings. Test out on your skills with an adult leader or senior scout with the permission of the scoutmaster. 2. Schedule and attend a Scoutmaster Conference. The scoutmaster will sign you off on the living by the Scout Oath and Law requirements. Remember to wear you uniform and bring your book and binder. 3. Schedule and attend a Board of Review with the Advancement Chair person (Donna Hansen) Remember to wear you uniform and bring your book and binder.. The Troop will take care of the rest. Remember to get your request for a Board of Review scheduled three weeks before the Court of Honor. Otherwise you will have to wait until the next Court of Honor to get your patch. You will still be considered advanced on the day of your Review. |
