48. Aloysius Paul³ Averkamp (Frank Xavier², Anton Vicentius¹) was born in Kieler, Grant Cty, WI April 30, 1923. Aloysius died August 3, 1976 in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA, at 53 years of age. His body was interred August 7, 1976 in Kieler, Grant Cty, WI.

Telegraph Herald August 5, 1976 Aloysius P. Averkamp Services for Aloysius P. Averkamp, 53 of Rt. 1 Cuba City, Wis., will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Kieler, Wis. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Cuba City American Legion Post. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffmann Mortuary, where the Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Mr. Averkamp died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Xavier Hospital. He was born near Kieler, and had been employed at the John Deere Dubuque Works since 1947. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Holy Name Society, the Cuba City American Legion Post and the U.A.W. Local 94. He was a World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Meyer; four daughters, Mrs. Dan (Mary) Rygel of Woodland, Calif., and Lynn, Diane and Karen all at home; seven sons, Thomas J. of Rt. 1 Cuba City, Terrance F. of Ann Arbor, Mich., Lawrence W. and Paul F. both of Dubuque and Joseph, James, and Lloyd, all at home.; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Snyder, Mrs. Irvin (Clotilda) Muller and Mrs. Dale (Rita) Udelhofen, all of Cuba City, Mrs. John (Margaret) Kieler of Dickeyville, Wis., and Mrs. Richard (Bertha) McMahon of Lancaster, Wis. and a brother Francis of rural Cuba City.
