3. Gerhard (George)2 Averkamp (Anton Vicentius1) was born in Kieler, Grant Cty, WI January 2, 1860. Gerhard died March 12, 1945 in Cuba City, Grant Cty, WI, at 85 years of age. His body was interred in Dickeyville, Grant Cty, WI.

He married Christina Manemann in Sinsinawa, Grant Cty, WI, November 20, 1888. Christina was born in Potosi, Grant Cty, WI September 15, 1862. Christina died February 10, 1935 in Cuba City, Grant Cty, WI, at 72 years of age. Her body was interred in Dickeyville, Grant Cty, WI. Telegraph Herald February 11, 1935, Mrs. Christina Manemann Averkamp, wife of George Averkamp, died at her home in Parish (Paris) township near Dickeyville Sunday morning at 3:45 o'clock. She had been in failing health for some time. She was born September 15, 1862 in Potosi, Wisconsin, and attended the parochial school there as a child. The family later moved to a farm near Fairplay where they lived for a number of years. She was married November 20, 1888 in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin to Mr. Averkamp and they later moved to Paris township. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Peter Hessling (Cecelia) of Postosi, Wisconsin, Mrs. Adolph Salzman (Anna), Mrs. George Hartung (Theresa), Mrs. Joseph Siepker (Balbina) all of Dickeyville, two sons, Joseph of Menominee and Arthur at home; a sister, Mrs. Ben Averkamp, Dickeyville, and four brothers, Joseph and Albert Manemann of Kieler, Clem of Dubuque and Frank of Zwingle. A daughter Sophia, died when three years old. Mrs. Averkamp was a member of the Catholic church and belonged to the Holy Ghost parish in Dickeyville and to the Mother's Confraternity of that church, and the Confraternity of the Little Flower. The body is at the family home from where funeral services will be held tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

She married Joseph George Siepker in Dickeyville, Grant Cty, WI, September 25, 1929. Joseph was born in Tennyson, Grant Cty, WI September 13, 1887. Joseph died June 8, 1979 in Hazel Green, Grant Cty, WI, at 91 years of age. Telegraph Herald June 10, 1979 Joseph G. Siepker Dickeyville, Wis. - Services for Joseph G. Siepker, 81, of Dickeyville, who died at 4:50 a.m. Friday at the Hazel Green, Wis., Medical Center, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Gene Siegert & Son Funeral Home, Cuba City, Wis., where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Siepker was born in Tennyson, Wis., and farmed in the Dickeyville area until his retirement in 1960. Surviving are his wife the former Balbina Averkamp; two sisters, Alvina Langkamp of Tennyson and Mrs. Catherine Zenz of Lancaster, Wis., and a brother William of Tennyson. Telegraph Herald March 12, 1986 Mrs. Balbina Siepker Dickeyville, Wis. - Services for Mrs. Balbina Siepker, 87, of Dickeyville will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kieler, Wis. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Catholic Cemetery, Dickeyville. Friends may call until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gene Siegert & Son funeral home, Cuba City, Wis., where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Mrs. Siepker died Monday night at Southwest Health Center, Platteville, Wis. She was born in Grant County, Wis., and was a member of Christian Mother's Sodality. Her husband, Joseph, died in June 1979. Surviving is a sister, Theresa Hartung of Platteville.
