She married Clarence M Alt in Hazel Green, Grant Cty, WI, May 20, 1924. Clarence was born in Cuba City, Grant Cty, WI June 21, 1899. Clarence was the son of John Alt and Rose Hendrick. Clarence died December 23, 1989 in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA, at 90 years of age. His body was interred in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Ceme, Cuba City. Surviving are two sons, Vernon Alt of Janesville, Minn., and Meldon Alt of Beaver Dam; a daughter Mrs. Fred (Arella) Sarette of Minneapolis; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sister M. Hildegard of Dubuque, and Catherine Wiegel of Darlington; four brothers, Frank and William Alt, both of Cuba City, George Alt of Shullsburg, and Dominic Alt of Green Bay. Surviving are a daughter, Arella (Fred) Sarette, of Fridley, Minn.; a son, Vernon (Georgine) Alt, of Janesville, Minn.; two daughters-in-law, Lois (Tom) Hendricks, of Arcadia, Fla., and Doris Alt, of Beaver Dam; a brother-in-law, Bill Alt, of Cuba City; four sisters-in-law, Mary Alt, of Hazel Green, Mabel Alt, of Cuba City, Imelda Alt, of Dubuque, and Catherine Wiegel, of Darlington; 16grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her sons Myron and Meldon; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild. The family of Philomena Alt wishes to thank the staff of Stonehill Care Center for their kindness and care of their mother.
