He married Florence C Schulting in Menominee, Jo Daviess Cty, IL, November 23, 1926. Florence was born in Menominee, Jo Daviess Cty, IL January 30, 1902. Florence was the daughter of Peter Schulting and Mary Tranel. Florence died July 4, 1977 in Menominee, Jo Daviess Cty, IL, at 75 years of age. Telegraph Herald July 6, 1977 Mrs. Florence C. Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Schulting; a son Wilmer of rural East Dubuque; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Eileen) Weber of rural Hazel Green, Wis., and Evelyn at home; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Art Averkamp of rural East Dubuque and three sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Hesseling and Mrs. Joe (Babina) Siepker, both of Dickeyville, and Mrs. Theresa Hartung of Platteville, Wis.
