76. George Bernard4 Hesseling (Cecilia Mary3 Averkamp, Gerhard (George)2, Anton Vicentius1) was born in Tennyson, Grant Cty, WI June 27, 1919. George died January 19, 1978 in Kieler, Grant Cty, WI, at 58 years of age. His body was interred January 21, 1978 in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Kieler.

Tri County Press January 25, 1978 George B. Hesseling George B. Hesseling, 58, of Rt. 1, Cuba City, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978 from injuries sustained in an auto-truck accident at the intersection of County H and County HHH near Kieler. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Kieler, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called until 9 p.m. Friday at the Gene Siegert and Son funeral home in Cuba City, where the Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Hesseling was born in Grant County, and was presently associated with the Southwestern Wisconsin School District Department of Transportation. He was a member of Grant County Zoning Commission, and the Grant County Board of Adjustment. He was past chairman of the Jamestown Board of Supervisors, and a World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife, the former Rosella Jansen; five daughters, Mrs. David (Katherine) Hammer of Cuba City, Mrs. James (Joan) Dorrell of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Mrs. Fred (Judy) Pertzborn of Verona, Wis., Mary Hesseling of Middleton, Wis., and Mrs. John (Geralyn) Ames of Urbana, Ill.; two sons, George L. of West Chicago, Ill., and Gary G. of Madison; 10 grandchildren; his mother Cecilia Hesseling of Cuba City; three sisters, Mrs. John (Marcella) McAuliffe of Dickeyville, Mrs. Walter (Adeline) Budden of Platteville and Mrs. Virgil (Theresa) Brant of Hazel Green, and three brothers, Ray and Vincent, both of Dickeyville, and Edward of Darlington. Pallbearers were Earl Jansen, Edward Jansen, Gerald Hesseling, Robert McAuliffe, Ron Budden and Kenneth Brant.

George Bernard Hesseling and Rosella M Jansen had the following children:
