Eileen Catherine Averkamp and Lawrence George Weber had the following children:

child 403 i. Mary Christine (Chris)5 Weber was born in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA July 23, 1952. Mary died December 23, 2005 in Iowa City, IA, at 53 years of age. Her body was interred December 27, 2005 in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Dickeyville, WI. Telegraph Herald December 25, 2005 EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Mary C. "Chris" Splinter, 53, of 15 Walnut Drive, East Dubuque, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dickeyville, Wis., with the Rev. Francis Steffen, the Rev. Randy Timmerman and the Rev. Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, Wis. Mrs. Splinter worked as an executive secretary at the former Dubuque Packing Co. She was involved with the meat packing industry for 27 years. Most recently, she worked at Honkamp-Krueger in Dubuque. She was born on July 23, 1952, in Dubuque, daughter of Lawrence and Eileen (Averkamp) Weber. She married Robert J. "Sox" Splinter on May 11, 1974. Chris graduated from Hazel Green (Wis.) High School in 1970, and from Southwest Vocational/Technical School, Fennimore, Wis., in 1971. Chris was the secretary of several bowling leagues and an officer in the Dickeyville (Wis.) Women's Bowling Association. She enjoyed golfing immensely. Bob and Chris planned every vacation to be a golf vacation. Chris golfed in the old Dubuque Pack Golf League and the Women's Cole Acres Golf League. She was an officer of the Cole Acres Ladies Association. Gardening and flowers were her passion. Chris took care of a "flower plot" at the Holy Ghost Grotto. She also took care of the flowers at the Sun Valley Apartments in Dickeyville for a time. Surviving are her husband, Bob "Sox" Splinter, of East Dubuque; her parents, Larry and Eileen Weber, of Kieler, Wis.; two brothers, Keith (Diane Kelly) Weber, of Hazel Green, and Jim (special friend, Connie Lucas) Weber, of Key West, Iowa; a sister, Sarah (Joe) Foley, and the "lights of her life - the kids we couldn't have," Morgan and Ben Foley, all of Dubuque; her stepmother-in-law, Dorothy Splinter, of Dickeyville; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Florence (Shulting) Averkamp; her paternal grandparents, George and Mathilda (Kieler) Weber; her father and mother-in-law, Ira and Rita (Haase) Splinter; and a brother-in-law, Jim Splinter. In lieu of flowers, a Chris Splinter Memorial Fund has been established. A special thank-you to Dr. Tom Williams, Dr. David Wertz and the staffs of The Finley Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
