41. Nicolaus³ Averkamp (Bernard (Ben)², Anton Vicentius¹) was born May 21, 1908. Nicolaus died 1949 at 41 years of age.

He married Veronica Aurit. Veronica was born April 11, 1909. Veronica was the daughter of Edward Aurit and Anna Rasque. Veronica died September 22, 1977 in Cuba City, Grant Cty, WI, at 68 years of age. Telegraph Herald September 23, 1977 Mrs. Veronica Averkamp Cuba City, Wis. – Services for Mrs. Veronica Averkamp, 68, of 416 N. Randolph St. will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church here. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery at Elk Grove. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Haudenshield Funeral Home here, where the Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Averkamp died Thursday morning at the Cuba City Medical Center. She was a member of St. Rose Altar Society. Here husband Nicholas, died in 1949. Surviving are two sons, Bernard and Donald, both of Rt. 2 Cuba City; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Rose Ann) Junk of Cuba City and Mrs. Robert (Rita) Rahe of Dyersville, Iowa; nine grandchildren, and a sisters, Mrs. Jack (Cecelia) Tarrell of Highland, Wis.

Nicolaus Averkamp and Veronica Aurit had the following children:

+ 156 ii. Donald Anthony Averkamp (still alive).

+ 157 iii. Rose Ann Averkamp (still alive).

+ 158 iv. Rita Mary Averkamp (still alive).
