22. Jane5 Coulthart (John4, John3, John2, Christopher1) was born in Scotland June 13, 1811. Jane died June 29, 1892 in Medford, Steele Cty, MN, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred in Northfield Cemetery.

She married William Hunter in Winchester, Dundas Cty, ON, 1842. William was born in Scotland December 25, 1814. William was the son of John Hunter and Barbara Tweedie. William died February 23, 1903 in Waterford, Dakota Cty, MN, at 88 years of age. His body was interred in Northfield Cemetery. Northfield Independent February 26, 1903 WILLIAM HUNTER Lays Down the Burdens and Cares of Life and Passes to a Better Land Bowed with the weight of years, Wm. Hunter, Sr., laid down life's burdens last Monday Feb. 23, and went to join the companion who preceded him to the better land some eleven years ago. He was living with his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Gibson of Waterford, at the time of his death. The funeral was held at the Gibson home yesterday noon, Rev. Dewart of St. Thomas, N.D. conducting services. Mr. Hunter was born in Scotland nearly 89 years ago, coming to Canada in early life. He married Miss Jane Coulthart, and Feb, 23, 1863, they started for Minnesota, his death occurring 40 years later to the day. He settled on a farm near Northfield and has continued to reside here ever since. He leaves four sons, Wm. N. of Wallace, John of Sciota, James and Walter of Waterford; and two daughters. Mrs. Wm. Gibson of Waterford and Mrs. Frank Harkness of Wallace; a sister Margaret Hoople of North Dakota, and a brother John Hunter, of Northfield. G.A. Markell, formerly of this city, but now dead, and Isaac and Nelson Markell of Canada were half brothers.

Jane Coulthart and William Hunter had the following children:

child 55 ii. John W Hunter was born in Winchester, Dundas Cty, ON April 19, 1845. John died August 11, 1930 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 85 years of age. His body was interred in Oaklawn Cemetery. He married Isabelle Mary (Belle) Weatherston March 18, 1873. Isabelle was born in Lisbon, St. Lawrence Cty, NY March 1, 1847. Isabelle died January 25, 1920 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 72 years of age.

child + 56 iii. William Nathaniel Hunter was born December 10, 1846.

child + 57 iv. James Hunter was born May 2, 1848.

child + 58 v. Walter Francis Hunter was born April 23, 1850.

child + 59 vi. Barbara Jean Hunter was born April 8, 1853.
