265. William⁷ Coulthart (Walter⁶, Walter⁵, John⁴, John³, John², Christopher¹) was born in North Dakota 1909. William died 1962 at 53 years of age.

He married Mardith Nelson July 17, 1940. Mardith was born in Nekoma, ND October 10, 1921. Mardith was the daughter of Theodore Nelson and Clara Peterson. Mardith died August 23, 2005 in Grafton, Walsh Cty, ND, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred August 27, 2005 in Grafton Lutheran Church Cemete. Grand Forks Herald August 25, 2005 Mardith Coulthart Mardith “Mardy” Coulthart, age 83, of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, ND. Mardith R. Nelson was born October 10, 1921 in Nekoma, ND the daughter of the late Theodore and Clara (Peterson) Nelson. She grew up and attended schools in Nekoma. She was united in marriage to William Coulthart on July 17, 1940. The couple lived and farmed north of Grafton until his death in June of 1962. Mardith worked as a cook in Grafton at several cafés and also had a free lance catering service. She also did farm labor work during harvest. She moved into the Lutheran Sunset Home in the spring of 2003. She is survived by her children: Brad Coulthart of Minneapolis, MN; Myrtle Campbell of Mississippi, Carol (Ron) Gerrard of Port Orchard, OR, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister: Charlotte Tverberg of Park River, ND; brothers: John Nelson of International Falls, MN; Robert Nelson of Chicago, ILL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children: Larry, David, Jerry and Clarice, brothers and sisters: Ethel, Charles, Julia, Melford, Leslie and Myrtle Ann. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Grand Forks Humane Society at 4375 Washington St. N. Grand Forks, ND 58203. The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
