She married Roy Edwin McEwan December 23, 1924. Roy was born in Northfield Station, ON April 2, 1901. Roy died October 11, 1985 in Cornwall, Stormont, ON, at 84 years of age. Dear brother of Mrs. Mable Campbell of Wooster, Ohio, Rhoda Rupert of Lunenburg, Ken McEwan of Lunenburg and Florence and Jay deceased. Survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Resting at Brownlee Funeral home in Finch from 2 p.m. on Sunday October 13th. Funeral services will be held in the Lunenburg United Church on Monday October 14th at 11 a.m. Internment Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lunenburg. Born at Northfield Station, Ontario, she was the daughter of Joheil and Gertrude Moke, and was married to Roy McEwan. She is survived by one son, Darwin of Cornwall; four daughters, Florence (Mrs. Lee Merkley), Iroquois; Betty (Mrs. Douglas Zeran), Finch; Maxine (Mrs. Clare Rutley), Newington; Shirley (Mrs. Billie Rombough), Lunenburg; two brothers, Wesley Moke of Iroquois and Arthur Moke of Ingleside; three sisters, Mrs Eunice Bush of Cornwall, Mrs. Ethel Crandall of Florida and Mrs. Olive Rupert of Oswego. Mrs. McEwan was predeceased by a son Cory Douglas. Mrs. McEwan was a member of St. Mark's Memorial United Church, the U.C.W. and the Senior Citizens. The funeral was held from the Brownlee Funeral Home, Finch to St. Mark's Memorial Church for service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8. Rev. A.E. Loree officiated. Internment was made in Memorial Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dwight Rupert, Bruce Moke, Milton Hillis, Harry Fetterley, Dalton Cleary and Allan Bancroft.
