167. George M⁷ Gibson (Mary Elizabeth⁶ Hunter, Jane⁵ Coulthart, John⁴, John³, John², Christopher¹) was born in Medford, Steele Cty, MN March 28, 1882. George died July 1, 1966 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 84 years of age. His body was interred in Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield, MN.

He married Eva Foster in Faribault, Rice County, MN, August 6, 1924. Eva was born in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN June 15, 1893. Eva was the daughter of James Foster and Margaret Denny. Eva died August 24, 1974 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 81 years of age. The News July 7, 1966 George M. Gibson AT THE AGE of 84, George M. Gibson died on Friday, July 1, 1966, at Northfield Hospital. The funeral service was held Sunday, July 3, at the Anderson Funeral Home, the Rev. Obed Asp officiating. Sigurd Fredrickson was organist and vocal soloist. Internment was at the Oaklawn cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were William Frame, Thomas Frame, Ed Gibson, Leo Eischen, Frank Hand and Gerald Woodward. Mr. Gibson was born on March 28, 1882, at Medford, the son of Mrs. and Mrs. William Gibson. On August 6, 1924, he married Eva Foster Faribault. The couple had since that time resided in the Waterford and Northfield area where they operated farms. The had been retired from farming for the past 15 years. Mr. Gibson was an active member of the Northfield Lodge No. 50, IOOF, and the Modern Woodmen. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Hille (Margaret) of Northfield; one grandchild, Kenneth Hille; one brother, Murray Gibson of this community. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his parents; four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Sperry, Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Mrs. Maggie Frame, Mrs. Genie Pike; and one brother, William.
