186. William Llewellyn⁷ Harkness (Francis⁶, Christina⁵ Coulthart, John⁴, John³, John², Christopher¹) was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood Cty, WI October 14, 1875. William died August 25, 1965 in Rice Cty, MN, at 89 years of age.

He married May Elizabeth Howland in Waterford, Dakota Cty, MN, December 29, 1909. May was born in Waterford, Dakota Cty, MN August 11, 1889. May was the daughter of Fred Wilton Howland and Alice Margaret Dixon. May died November 16, 1980 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 91 years of age.

William Llewellyn Harkness and May Elizabeth Howland had the following children:

445 i. Edwin James⁸ Harkness was born in Sciota, Dakota Cty, MN February 19, 1914. Edwin died November 28, 1985 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 71 years of age.

+ 446 ii. Leonard Llewellyn Harkness was born December 31, 1916.

+ 447 iii. Fred Robert Harkness was born March 16, 1918.

448 iv. Richard Francis Harkness was born in Sciota, Dakota Cty, MN May 16, 1920. Richard died October 19, 1940 in St. Paul, Ramsey Cty, MN, at 20 years of age.

449 v. John Maynard Harkness was born in Sciota, Dakota Cty, MN December 12, 1921. John died December 28, 1984 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at 63 years of age.

+ 450 vi. Alice Margaret Harkness was born December 15, 1923.

+ 451 vii. Barbara Jean Harkness (still alive).

+ 452 viii. Lloyd Wilton Harkness (still alive).
