190. Francis⁷ Harkness Jr. (Francis⁶, Christina⁵ Coulthart, John⁴, John³, John², Christopher¹) was born in Sciota, Dakota Cty, MN June 22, 1888. Francis died March 10, 1972 in Faribault, Rice County, MN, at 83 years of age.

He married Sarah Elizabeth Simpson in Greenvale, Dakota Cty, MN, December 16, 1920. Sarah was born in Greenvale, Dakota Cty, MN April 20, 1893. Sarah was the daughter of John Eleazor Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Withers. Sarah died April 23, 1943 in Dakota Cty, MN, at 50 years of age. Her body was interred in Red Rose Cemetery, Waterford, MN. Frank was a veteran of W.W.I. and served in France. He played the French horn in an army band.

Francis Harkness Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth Simpson had the following children:

453 i. James Robert⁸ Harkness was born in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN March 19, 1924. James died March 19, 1924 in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN, at less than one year of age.

454 ii. Mary Barbara Harkness (still alive).
