394. John George⁸ Gibson (William Wallace⁷, Mary Elizabeth⁶ Hunter, Jane⁵ Coulthart, John⁴, John³, John², Christopher¹) was born in Waterford, Dakota Cty, MN April 12, 1912. John died July 27, 1988 in Menomonie, Dune Cty, WI, at 76 years of age. His body was interred July 30, 1988 in Evergreen Cemetery, Menomonie, Dunn Cty, WI.

He married Doris Viola Litsheim in Kensett, IA, October 17, 1936. Doris was born in Kenyon, MN. Doris is the daughter of John Obert Litsheim and Christine Strand. Dunn County News August 3, 1988 John G. Gibson John George Gibson, 76, 1133 Wilcox, Menomonie, died July 27 at the Dunn County Health Care Center. The son of William and Mary (Adams) Gibson, he was born April 21, 1912 in Northfield, Minn. He was raised there and married Doris Litsheim Oct. 17, 1936 at Faribault, Minn. He worked his early years for the Northfield Condensery. He served in the Navy during WW II. He owned Castle Gardens Supper Club in Northfield and he worked 20 years as a construction worker and job superintendent for Fegles Construction/Power Service Co. out of Minneapolis until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge of Menomonie. John had lived in Menomonie since his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Doris, Menomonie; a son Craig Gibson, Eau Claire; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Joan) Labs, and Mrs. Marv (Jackie) Hillman, both of Menomonie; three sisters, Mabel Gibson and Laura Errington, Northfield and Barbara Gatton, Woodlawn, Calif.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and a grandchild. Funeral services were July 30 at Christ Lutheran Church, Menomonie, Rev. Andrew Boe and Rev. Marcia Pyle officiating and burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Menomonie. Arrangements were by the Olson Funeral Home, Menomonie.

John George Gibson and Doris Viola Litsheim had the following children:

+ 782 ii. Jacquelyn Ann Gibson (still alive).

+ 783 iii. James Craig Gibson (still alive).
