523. Verna Gertrude8 Denniston (Edna Edith7 Warner, Margaret6 Harkness, Christina5 Coulthart, John4, John3, John2, Christopher1) was born in Rudolph, Wood Cty, WI June 30, 1905. Verna died February 19, 1985 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood Cty, WI, at 79 years of age.

She married Howard George Kortkamp in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood Cty, WI, August 25, 1934. Howard was born in Madison Cty, IL January 16, 1905. Howard was the son of George Edward Kortkamp and Clara Belle Seiler. Howard died April 29, 1997 in Dane Cty, WI, at 92 years of age. Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune Tuesday February 19, 1985 Verna Kortkamp Verna Kortkamp, 79, 3311 48th St. s., died suddenly early today at Riverview Hospital following a stroke. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Patrick Green will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kortkamp was born June 30, 1905, in the town of Rudolph, a daughter of Allison G and Edith Denniston. She married Howard Kortkamp Aug 25, 1934, in Wisconsin Rapids. She was a life long resident of the area. She was assistant sales manager at Preway Inc., retiring in 1967. She was member of Riverside Rebekah Lodge No. 12, the Three Links Club the women's organization of the United Methodist Church, North Kellner Homemakers and North Kellner Garden Club. She once served on the Wisconsin Rapids School Board. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donald, Liverpool, N.Y., and Robert, Madison; one daughter, Linda Temte Canzanelli, Newton, Mass., and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. Friends may call at Wilkinson Mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church Thursday. Memorial services will be conducted by Riverside Rebekah Lodge No 12 at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be designated to the United Methodist Church.
