John died September 7, 2002 in Racine, Racine Cty, WI, at 84 years of age. His body was interred September 11, 2002 in Holy Cross Mausoleum.
He married Evelyn Josephine Meyer in Racine, Racine Cty, WI, March 27, 1939. Evelyn was born in Racine, Racine Cty, WI November 25, 1918. Evelyn was the daughter of Edward J Meyer and Otillia Seitz. Evelyn died May 10, 2000 in Racine, Racine Cty, WI, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred May 13, 2000 in Holy Cross Mausoleum. She was born in Racine on November 25, 1918, daughter of the late Edward J. and Otillia (nee: Seitz) Meyer and had been a lifelong resident of Racine. On March 27, 1939, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to John E. Todish. Evelyn was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and a member of the church Christian Mothers and Altar Society. She was also a lifetime member of St. Mary's Medical Center Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, John; daughters, Patricia (James) Laursen of Caledonia and Kathleen (David) Obuchowski of Racine; three grandchildren, Teresa (Jim) Cook, Donald Luccasen, and Nicole Obuchowski; three great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, and Rachel Cook; a brother, Edward (Janice) Meyer of Racine; sister-in-law, Arlyce Trossen of Greeley, Colo.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille (Matthew) Theres and Gertrude (Lawrence) Jensen; and sister-in-law, Marion (Charles) Coulthart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green Street, on Saturday, May 13, 2000, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas F. Lijewski officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Highway 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. (Rosary at 5 p.m.) and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
