366. Harvey F.8 Guilette (Mathilda7 Jeanquart, Joseph6, Charles Joseph5, Nicolas4 Janquart, Nicolas Joseph3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Rosiere, Door Cty, WI April 29, 1916. Harvey died May 17, 1982 in Nasewaupee, Door Cty, WI, at 66 years of age. His body was interred May 21, 1982 in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Sturgeon Bay.

He married Beatrice Mary Gaspard in Dyckesville, Kewaunee Cty, WI, August 12, 1940. Beatrice was born in Red River, Kewaunee Cty, WI September 12, 1918. Beatrice was the daughter of Julian Gaspard and Josephine Borlee. Beatrice died November 11, 2007 in Sturgeon Bay, Door Cty, WI, at 89 years of age. Her body was interred November 17, 2007 in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Sturgeon Bay. Door County Advocate November 14, 2007 Beatrice Guilette Beatrice Guilette, Sturgeon Bay, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Whispering Heights, Sturgeon Bay. She was born in Duvall, town of Red River Sept. 12, 1918, the only child of Julian and Josie (Borlee) Gaspard. She attended Duvall Grade School and graduated from Luxemburg High School as class valedictorian in 1935. She attended the Door-Kewaunee Normal School and began teaching at Duvall Grade School in 1937 where she taught grades kindergarten through four for 16 years. To hundreds of children who attended elementary school between 1937 and 1981, in Duval, Brussels, Four Corners, or Southern, "Mrs. Guilette" was their first and favorite teacher. She completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1967. She began teaching in the Brussels/Southern Door school system in 1954 and retired from teaching in 1981. She remembered all her students and always spoke of them as "my kids." Beatrice married Harvey Guilette Aug. 12, 1940, and they made their home in Duvall, until 1964 when they moved to the town of Nasewaupee, adjacent to Southern Door School. Harvey died May 17, 1982. She traveled extensively after Harvey’s death and enjoyed reading, genealogy, and going to dinner with relatives and friends. Her brother-in-law, Edwin Guilette was a special friend and frequent dining companion until his death in 2002. She was active in Holy Name of Mary parish, Maplewood and was involved with the Christian Mothers, Marian Rosary Guild, and as secretary of the Senior Group. She also was involved with the Door County School Achieves Group. In addition to her hundreds of students, Beatrice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth (Judy) Guilette, Barrington, Ill. three grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren; son Michael (Jerri) Guilette, Austin, Texas, and their children Kristyn, Rachel, Lauren and Andrew Guilette; daughter, Lisa (Dan) Cork, Elgin Ill., daughter Jessica Cockream; and Heather (Jack) Walser, Palatine, Ill.; and her children Sam, Quinn, and Henry Walser. She is also survived by five sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Emily and Wilferd Vandertie, Brussels; Marie Euclide, Southern Door; Julius and Joyce Guilette, Racine; Bernice (George) Guilette, Rosiere; Lucy (Bob) Guilette, Green Bay; James (Hilda) Legrave; Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Emily Guilette, Lawrence and Adeline Guilette, Edwin and Dorothy Guilette, George Guilette and Bob Guilette, Adeline Guilette, Nora and Evan Fameree, Norman and Emma Stroobants, Hilda LeGrave, Vivian Guilette, and Jack Euclide. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Holy Name of Mary Church, Maplewood, with the Rev. Bob Konkol officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Mausoleum, Sturgeon Bay. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Guilette, 66, Rt. 6, Sturgeon Bay, died at his residence Monday. He was born Apr. 29, 1916, in the Town of Union to Jule and Matilda Guilette. Mr. Guilette owned and operated Harvey's Welding and Repair Shop at Duval for many years, and moved to the Town of Nasewaupee in 1972. He was a amateur radio operator and his call letters were K9THR. He was married on Aug. 12, 1940 at Dyckesville to Beatrice Gaspard. Survivors include his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Judy, Denver; three grandchildren, Michael and his fiancée, Gerri Testin, both of the University of Illinois-Champaign; Mrs. Tim (Lisa) Cockream, Morris, Ill.; Heather, Denver, Colo.; one great-grandchild, Jessica Cockream; five brothers, Nelson, Rt. 1, Brussels; Edwin, Algoma; George and Robert, both of Casco; Julius, Racine, four sisters, Mrs. Evan (Nora) Famaree and Mrs. Wilferd (Emily) Vandertie, both of Brussels; Mrs. Norman (Emma) Stroobants, Green Bay, and Mrs. John (Marie) Euclide, Sturgeon Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence, and two sisters, Adeline and Hilda. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday and then after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay. Prayer services 8: 30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday 10 a.m. at the funeral home and then at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, Maplewood, with the Rev. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Sturgeon Bay.
