561. Russell A.9 Reynolds (Blanche8 Janquart, Gustave7, Eugene Joseph6, Jean-Baptiste5, Jean-Joseph4, Hubert3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Manitowoc, Manitowoc Cty, WI May 19, 1919. Russell died May 31, 2006 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 87 years of age.

He was born May 19, 1919, in Manitowoc, to Russell C. and Blanche (Janquart) Reynolds, the eldest of 11 children. Russell grew up in Green Bay and attended Cathedral Grade School and St. Norbert High School. After the service he also attended St. Norbert College for an additional year. Russell met his wife, Esther Paye, at a wedding dance. They dated for 10 months and were married on Oct. 23, 1940. Russell was drafted into the Army in June of 1942. Russell entered the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Lincoln, Neb., where Esther joined him. He then transferred to California for flight training. Russell went to New Mexico where he trained to fly B-17s, Texas to train to fly B-25s and eventually Columbia, S.C. Eventually he was stationed overseas on the island of Corsica and then to the west coast of Italy. Russell served for three years. Once out of the service, Russell and Esther resided in Green Bay. He worked for Cobb's Bakery for 11 years and then went to the Green Bay Fire Department where he worked for 25 years and earned the rank of captain. While at the fire department, Russell and his wife also did upholstering for 26 years. He was a part of a bowling league and softball team through the fire department. He also enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and dancing. After retirement, Russell and Esther managed the Georgetown Apartments for six years. They lived in Florida for six months of the year where they would golf and also did a lot of dancing, often dancing three times a week, when there would be a live band. His favorite adventures were traveling with his wife to Europe where he showed her around Rome. They also traveled to Hawaii for their 40th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife, Esther J.; three children, Pam Misky, Russell B. and Lynn Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, all of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Jeff Misky, Tracy Reynolds and her fiance, Karol Domitrovich, Russell C. Reynolds; six brothers and a sister, Alan and Elaine Reynolds, Bob and Pat Reynolds, Jack and Marge Reynolds, Donna Schink, LaVerne and Jo Ann Reynolds, Peter and Janice Reynolds, Paul and Jean Reynolds; and a brother-in-law, George Steeno. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Lester Krueger; a sister, Jean Steeno; a brother, Francis Reynolds; and a brother-in-law, Don Schink. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. A parish wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call in the Resurrection Room of the Bishop Wycislo Center at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday.
