He married twice. He married Alivra (Joyce) Guilette. He married Joyce Hein in MI, July 1958. Joyce was born in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI May 28, 1933. Joyce was the daughter of John Hein and Alma Christopherson. Joyce died October 10, 2004 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 71 years of age. Her body was interred October 14, 2004 in Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Algoma. Green Bay Press Gazette October 12, 2004 Marchant, Joyce A. Joyce A. Marchant, 71, Green Bay, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born May 28, 1933, in Green Bay to the late John and Alma (Christopherson) Hein. In July 1958, she married Melvin J. Marchant in Michigan and he preceded her in death July 17, 1992. Her joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She loved to play cards, go shopping, and traveling with family and good friends. She loved life and never missed a luncheon date. Survivors include two daughters, Christine (Tom) Bluett, Forestville; Lynn Ferris, Green Bay; one son, Scott (Debbie) Marchant, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Shannon Schwartz, Joey Ferris and Cody Ferris, all of Green Bay; and one great- grandson, Derek Schwartz, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue at Ridge Road, Green Bay and after 12 p.m. on Thursday at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel where the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs at St. Vincent’s 6th floor IMCU and 9th floor, especially Theresa on the9th floor, and Manorcare East. Door County Advocate July 21, 1992 Melvin Marchant A drowning accident was blamed for the July 17 death of Melvin J. Marchant, 59, Brussels, who died while fishing on the bay of Green Bay. Services were held Monday at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. The McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg handled arrangements. He was born Oct. 27, 1932 in Duvall to the late Julius and Mary Marchant. He married Joyce Hein and she survives along with children Gary, Florida, Chris Moses, Green Bay, Lynn Ferris, Ashwaubenon and Scott, Green Bay. Also surviving are three grand-children: sisters Rose (Louis) Granius and Lucy (John) Jauquet, both of Brussels, Doris (Clarence) DeWitt, Forestville, Gladys (Leonard) Bouche, Green Bay, and brothers Robert, Luxemburg, and Willard (Bea), Brussels. A brother Lester preceded him in death. Mr. Marchant was employed by Schneider Transport for 34 years until his retirement in 1989.
