508. John Oscar⁹ Forslund (Anna⁸ Janquart, Eugene⁷, Eugene Joseph⁶, Jean-Baptiste⁵, Jean-Joseph⁴, Hubert³, Amand², Bauduin¹) was born in Marinette, Marinette Cty, WI September 18, 1919.⁽⁶⁹⁾ John died April 22, 1995 in Appleton, Outagamie Cty, WI, at 75 years of age.

He married twice. He married Helen Grakauski in Chicago, Cook Cty, IL. He married Marian Louise Olson in Marinette, Marinette Cty, WI, April 12, 1941.⁽⁷⁰⁾ Marian is the daughter of Arthur Olson and Mary Jokobi. Appleton Post Crescent April 27, 1995 John O. Forslund 309 N. Rankin St., Appleton Age 75, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 1995 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. John was born on September 18, 1919 in Marinette, the son of the late Oscar and Anna (Janquart) Forslund. On August 30, 1946 he married the former Helen Grakauski in Chicago. John retired from the Post Crescent in 1981 after many years of dedicated service. He liked biking, fishing, boating and especially bowling. John was also a life long Packer fan and will be greatly missed by his family. Survivors include his wife, Helen; three sons: Loren, Mosinee; Jeffery (Linda), Isle of Palms, South Carolina; John W. (Robbin), High Point, North Carolina; a daughter, Teresa Ann (Ronald) Deeg, Appleton; three grandchildren: Joseph and Cynthia Deeg, Appleton; Samantha Lynn Forslund, High Point, North Carolina; two brothers: Harold (Ann), Hurley; Arnold (Alice), Masa, Arizona; a special cousin, George Christenson, Marinette; special friends: Sheri Whitman, Neenah; William (Karen) and Tim Von Holt, Appleton; Tammy Van Haaster, Appleton. John is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. and the visitation will conclude with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff in ICU and Fourth Floor at AMC and also the nurses on Four south at St. Elizabeth.
