138. Prosper7 Baudhuin (Marcellin6, Josephine5 Janquart, Jean-Joseph4, Hubert3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Union, Door Cty, WI January 5, 1881. Prosper died March 22, 1965 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 84 years of age.
He married twice. He married Josephine Destree. Josephine was born January 16, 1882. Josephine was the daughter of John Baptiste Destree and Marie Therese Dubois. Josephine died 1905 at 23 years of age. He married Mary Virlee January 25, 1916. Mary was the daughter of Anton Virlee and Flora Neuville. Mary died January 31, 1950 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI. Mary participated in the birth2 (conflicting) event April 2, 1889 in Brussels, Door Cty, WI. Algoma Record Herald February 2, 1950 Mrs. Baudhuin, Brussels, Dies Brussels - Mrs. Prosper Baudhuin, 60, Town of Union, died Tuesday night in a Green Bay hospital of complication following surgery. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 Friday morning at the residence and 9:30 at St. Mary's church Fairland. The Rev. M.J. Vanden Elsen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock this evening at the Baudhuin home. Mrs. Baudhuin, the former Mary Virlee, was born Apr. 2, 1889, in Brussels and spent her entire life in this area. In 1909 she was married to Alfred Baudhuin and after his death she was married Jan. 25, 1916, to Prosper Baudhuin. The husband survives with five sons, Elmer, Union, Alfred, Milwaukee, Raymond and Lawrence, Green Bay, and Harold, Slovan; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Chaudoir, Brussels, and Mrs. Fabian Junion, Casco. Also remaining are a stepson, John Baudhuin, Brussels; a step-daughter, Mrs. Joseph Conard, Sturgeon Bay; four brothers, Isadore Virlee, Union, John, Green Bay, Cyril and William, Brussels; six sisters, Mrs. Louis Mallien, Mrs. Edward DeJardin and Mrs. Clayton LeGrave, Brussels, Mrs. Jule Jadin, Mrs. William Bardouche and Miss Lena Virlee, Green Bay; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Algoma Record Herald March 25, 1965 Retired Namur Farmer Passes Namur - Prosper Baudhuin, 84, a well known Namur farmer before his retirement about 15 years ago, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday at St. Vincent's hospital, Green Bay. He had been ill about a week. Mr. Baudhuin continued to make his home on the family farm after retirement. It is operated by a son Raymond. Mr. Baudhuin was born in the Town of Union Jan 5, 1881, and as a young man married Josephine Destree. She died in 1905 and his second marriage was to Mary Virlee. Her death occurred in 1950. The deceased was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary of the Snow Catholic church, Namur, and also belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors are four sons, John and Raymond, Brussels; Lawrence, Green Bay, and Harold, Casco; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Conard, Algoma; Mrs. Lawrence (Viola) Chaudior, Brussels, and Mrs. Fabian (Blanche) Junion, Casco, and two stepsons, Elmer, Green Bay, and Alfred, Milwaukee. Also remaining are 32 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Baudhuin, Brussels, and Sylvan, Sturgeon Bay, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph DuBois, Brussels, and Mrs. Arthur Marchant, Brussels. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The body is at the Wiesner-Massart funeral home, Casco. The rosary will be prayed at 8:30 Wednesday night by the Rev. John Righino. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary of the Snows church. Father Righino will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
