146. Vital Joseph7 Herlache (Marcelline6 Baudhuin, Josephine5 Janquart, Jean-Joseph4, Hubert3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Gardner, Door Cty, WI April 27, 1875. Vital died February 12, 1952 in Gardner, Door Cty, WI, at 76 years of age. His body was interred in White Star Cemetery.

He married Lucy J. LaViolette in Brussels, Door Cty, WI, February 5, 1902. Lucy was born in Gardner, Door Cty, WI January 12, 1884. Lucy was the daughter of Jerry LaViolette and Odile Thibeau. Lucy died October 2, 1968 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred in White Star Cemetery. Algoma Record Herald October 10, 1968 White Star Rites for Mrs. Herlache Gardner - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Lucy Herlache, 84, R1, Brussels. Mrs. Herlache died at a Green Bay hospital last Wednesday after a long illness. The Rev. Clara Tewelle officiated at White Star church and burial was in White Star cemetery. Mrs. Herlache was born in the Town of Gardner Jan. 12, 1884. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome LaViolette. She married Vital Herlache in 1904. He preceded her in death, Feb. 12, 1952. Mrs. Herlache was a member of White Star Ladies Aid and Forestville American Legion auxiliary. Survivors are one son, Homer, Green Bay; four daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Halverson, Mrs. John (Donna) Martin, Mrs. Julius (Vivian) Vandenhouten, Green Bay, and Mrs. Marvin (Florence) Seiler, Forestville; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Herlache Gardner - Funeral services for Vital Joseph Herlache, 76, who died early Tuesday morning at his home, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Stoneman funeral home. The Rev. Mrs. Clara Twelle of Milwaukee will conduct the last rites and burial will be in the White Star cemetery. A lifetime resident of Gardner, Mr. Herlache was born April 27, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Herlache. His life's occupation was farming and he was a member of the White Star church. In July, 1901 he married Lucy LaViolette at Gardner. Besides his wife he is survived by five children. They are Mrs. Herb (Helen) Halverson, Mrs. John (Donna) Martin, Mrs. Julius (Vivian) Vandenhouten and Homer Herlache of Green Bay, and Mrs. Marvin (Florence) Seiler of Forestville. Two brothers, Desire of Green Bay and Sylvester of Algoma and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Nora) Devillers of Green Bay, also survive. He had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
