129. Hortense7 Jadin (Josephine6 Baudhuin, Josephine5 Janquart, Jean-Joseph4, Hubert3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Union, Door Cty, WI February 10, 1887. Hortense died April 30, 1963 in Algoma, Kewaunee Cty, WI, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Namur.
She married Isadore Virlee April 29, 1906. Isadore was born in Brussels, Door Cty, WI April 7, 1885. Isadore was the son of Antoine J. Virlee and Flora J. Neubille. Isadore died July 24, 1962 in Namur, Door Cty, WI, at 77 years of age. His body was interred July 27, 1962 in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Namur. Algoma Record Herald July 26, 1962 Death Comes to Mr. Virlee A retired Namur farmer, Isadore Virlee, 77 died about 4 a.m. Tuesday at his home after a year's illness. Mr. Virlee was born at Brussels Apr. 7, 1885, and married the former Hortense Jadin in April, 1906. The couple observed its golden wedding six years ago. For a number of years Mr. Virlee was on the Union town board. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and Holy Name society. Survivors are the wife; one son, Joseph, on the home farm; six daughters, Mrs. Richard (Josie) DeGuelle, Algoma; Mayma and Lema, at home; Mrs. Hubert (Martha) Laluzerne, Green Bay; Mrs. Harris (Norma) Berger, Duvall, and Mrs. Carl (Esther) Dhuey, Lincoln; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also remaining are three brothers, John, Green Bay, and Cyril and William, both of Brussels, and five sisters, Mrs. Louis (Tillie) Mallien, Mrs. Edward (Lucy) DeJardin and Mrs. Clayton (Myrtle) LeGrave, all of Brussels, and Mrs. William (Rose) Bardouche and Miss Lena, both of Green Bay. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, 9 o'clock at the Stoneman Funeral home, Sturgeon Bay, and 10 o'clock at St. Mary of the Snow church, Namur. The Rev. Benjamin Mackin will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at Stoneman's at 8 this Thursday evening. Algoma Record Herald May 2, 1963 Rites Friday for Mrs. Virlee Namur - Funeral services for Mrs. Isadore Virlee, 76, Town of Union, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Snow church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. John Righino will officiate. Mrs. Virlee died at Algoma Memorial hospital at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday after a short illness. The former Hortense Jadin, she was born Feb 10, 1887, in the Town of Union and married Mr. Virlee Apr. 26, 1906. He died July 24, 1962. Mrs. Virlee was a member of St. Anne's society of St. Mary of the Snow church. Survivors are a son, Joseph, at home, six daughters, Mamie and Lema, at home, Mrs. Richard (Josephine) DeGuelle, Algoma, Mrs. Hubert (Martha) LaLuzerne, Green Bay; Mrs. Harris (Norma) Berger, Duvall, and Mrs. Carl (Esther) Dhuey, Casco; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother preceded her in death. The rosary will be prayed at 8 this evening at the Stoneman funeral home, Sturgeon Bay.
