689. Alvin J9 Englebert (Emily8 LeRoy, Marcelline7 Baudhuin, Marcellin6, Josephine5 Janquart, Jean-Joseph4, Hubert3, Amand2, Bauduin1) was born in Forestville, Door Cty, WI July 24, 1926. Alvin died January 8, 2006 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 79 years of age.

He married Florence Alexander. Florence died August 14, 2004. Green Bay Press Gazette January 10, 2006 Englebert, Alvin J. Alvin J. Englebert, 78, a Green Bay resident, died peacefully at a local hospital early Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. Alvin was born July 24, 1926, in the town of Forestville, Wis. to the late Wilbur and Emily (Leroy) Englebert. Alvin married the former Florence Alexander on Oct. 22, 1946, at the former St. Mary Catholic Church in Namur. She preceded him in death. Love, faith and desire are what made Alvin and Florence the great couple they were and always will be. With the coming of Florence's death, Alvin became her constant caregiver, devoting countless hours to her care. Alvin lost his beloved wife on August 14, 2004. He was honorably by her side in her passing and they now join hands again to continue their journey. Alvin retired in 1990 after a successful 40-year career at Fort Howard Paper Company. Among his many life passions, Alvin, together with his loving wife Florence, shared their love of RV traveling by frequently visiting varied destinations. As longtime members of the Holiday Ramblers Recreational Vehicle Club, Alvin and Florence served in a multitude of capacities. Since joining in 1963, they were one of the first lifetime charter members. Alvin was also a dedicated sportsman. Being an avid, all-around hunter, he wasn't happy until he was home cleaning his prize. Whether pheasant, fish or the "almighty buck," Alvin continued his father's legacy of "the hunt," reliving experiences with treasured family and friends. Alvin will be sadly missed by his daughters, Christine (James) Ostrenga and Sandra (Carl) Wagner; four grandchildren, Leslie (special friend Todd Yancy) Fisher, Jackie Key, Julie Johanski and Sonny (Pamela) Stock; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Morgan and Maxwell Fisher, Madison Key, Jaydon Stock and Kiley Fleury. He is also survived by one sister, Rita Bouche; two brothers, Roy (Joyce) Englebert and Randy Englebert; brothers-in-law, Arthur (special friend Lucy Guilette) Alexander, Ray (Mary) Alexander; sister-in-law, Pearl Alexander; step grandchildren, Jodi (Robert) Hendrickson, Jessica and Jamie Ostrenga, Clark (Paula) Wagner, Wendy (Dido) Todorov, Janette (Clayton) Leslie; step great-grandchildren, Kayla and Trevor Hendrickson, Liberty and Justice Leslie, Kristie and Maria Todorov and Tommy and Alyssa Wagner. Besides his parents, and wife, Florence; Alvin was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Coppersmith. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 East Mason St., on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe St., on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the church at 11 a.m. with the Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to express thanks to Unity Hospice for all their compassion. A special thanks to the St. Vincent Hospital's 9th floor staff, especially RN's Jen, Al, Dee and Jim. A memorial fund has been established in Alvin's name. Donations will be given to the Children's Hospital of Milwaukee.
