Josephine died July 15, 1991 in Algoma, Kewaunee Cty, WI, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred July 18, 1991 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Algoma.

She married Richard DeGuelle in Brussels, Door Cty, WI, June 27, 1927. Richard was born in Rosiere, Door Cty, WI October 23, 1907. Richard was the son of Jule J. DeGuelle and Adele Tebone. Richard died October 19, 1992 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 84 years of age. He was born October 23, 1907 in Rosiere. He married Josephine Virlee June 27, 1927 in Brussels. He and his wife owned and operated Dick and Jo's Bar from 1941-1963. They owned a liquor store from 1959-1973. He was an Algoma alderman from 1952-54. He then was mayor from 1954-1964 and from 1972-76. He was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus, Green Bay Chapter, past Grand Knight of Algoma Council, past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles, and past Chairman of Kewaunee County Democratic Party. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary, Algoma; Joe and Colette, San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert, Duvall, Joe, Rosiere; one sisters Mrs. Ella Everard, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine; his parents; two sons, Richard, Jr. and Bernard; one grandson Steven; one sister Lily Maccoux. Friends may call at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, Algoma from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church, Algoma. Prayer service 6:30 p.m. Thursday with the Knights of Columbus Algoma Council. Church services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Massart officiating. After her marriage to Richard DeGuelle on June 27, 1927 in Brussels, the couple owned and operated Dick and Jo's Bar in Algoma from 1941 to 1963. She was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society and the Lady Foresters. Survivors include her husband, two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary, Algoma, and Joe and Colette of San Antonio, Tex., six grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Virlee; four sisters, Esther Dhuey, Norma Berger, Lema Virlee and Martha LaLuzerne. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Richard Jr., and Bernerd; one grandson and one sister, Mayme Virlee. Friends may call at Haucke-Schinderle Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma until the time of funeral services on Thursday at 11 a.m. Parish vigil 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Fr. Jim Massart will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
