The following pages are the compilation of information from many sources; one who has gone beyond the call of duty is Michel Dricot of Belgium. Michel spent many hours scanning and creating a CD filled with hundreds of pages of original documents dating back to the 1600's.

We can now trace our family back to Bauduin Janquart. He had a son Amand Janquart who in turn had two sons, Hubert and Nicolas that had descendants who came to America. Originally I was under the impression that Nicolas was the son of Hubert, a big mistake, sorry to all that relied on that information.

WHY two spellings? In the early 1800's in Belgium at the baptism of Nicolas's son Nicolas an "E" was added to the church record and was used by that branch of the family for all future generations.

Upon a recent visit to the State of Wisconsin Historical Society, I found the passenger list for two of the families that came to America. Joseph and Anna Janquart Baudhuin along with Anna's nephew Eugene Janquart and his wife Celine Sonvaux and their two children entered America through Boston on the Steamship Calabria on August 26, 1870.

We now have 3,168 parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousins.
