She married John Kirley Doherty in Doylestown, Columbia Cty, WI, June 20, 1923. John was born in Otsego, Columbia Cty, WI August 13, 1898. John was the son of Patrick F. Doherty and Anna Bridget Kirley. John died March 7, 1985 in Rio, Columbia Cty, WI, at 86 years of age. His body was interred March 11, 1985 in St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, Doylestown, WI. Doherty, age 86, Rt. 2, Rio, died at his home on Thursday, March 7, 1987 He was born on August 13, 1898, in the township of Otsego to Patrick F. and Anna (Kirley) Doherty. He was married to the former Elizabeth Kennedy on June 20, 1923 in Doylestown, WI, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He lived on the Doherty homestead his entire life. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1609. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Rio; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Lucille) Vinge and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Staveness; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 1985, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Doylestown. Father Donald Beckius officiated. Columbus Journal Republican October 10, 1988 B. Elizabeth Doherty Mrs. B. Elizabeth Doherty, age 89, of Route 2, Rio, died Saturday, October 1, 1988 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Doylestown with Father Donald Beckius and Father Schmidt co-officiating. Burial followed in the Parish Cemetery. Vangen Funeral Home in Rio served the family. She was born Bridget Elizabeth Kennedy June 19, 1899, in Doylestown, the daughter of William D. and Sushanna (McMahon) Kennedy. She married to John Doherty in Doylestown June 20, 1923. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Doylestown and the Altar Society. She was also president of the National Catholic Society of Foresters and a member of the Otsego Mother's Club. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Lucille) Vinge and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Staveness, both of Rio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, who died March 7, 1985, by one sister, Mrs. Tom (Ruth) Lynch, and by three brothers, John (Jack), Leo and Earl.
