156. Francis John⁴ McMahon (Stephen James³, John Enoch², Edward Matthew¹) was born in Doylestown, Columbia Cty, WI April 8, 1902. Francis died July 12, 1980 in Eau Claire, WI, at 78 years of age. His body was interred in Cornell Cemetery.

He married Evelyn Louise Wallace in Cornell, Chippewa Cty, WI, July 5, 1935. Herald Telegram July 14, 1980 McMahon Francis J. McMahon, 78, 209 N. 2nd St., Cornell, died Saturday at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. He was born in Doylestown April 8, 1902. He married Evelyn Wallace July 5, 1935 in Cornell. He was employed by the paper mill in Cornell for 47 years, until retiring. Surviving are two sons Francis Jr., Taylor Falls, Minn., and Robert, Eau Claire; two daughters Rosemary Geist and Sharon Thon, both of Cornell; three brothers John Bloomer, and Mark and Victor, Cornell; three sisters Rose Olson and Helen Quinlan, both of Chippewa Falls, and Kathryn Anderson, Sheldon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, his parents and a brother and sister. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic church, Cornell, with the Rev. Henry H Lee officiating. Internment will be in the Cornell Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. today at the Borton Funeral Home, Cornell, with a prayer service set for 8 tonight at the funeral home.
