174. Emmett Hugh⁵ McMahon (Robert Emmett⁴, Anthony Patrick³, Hugh Peter², Edward Matthew¹) was born in Minneapolis, Hennepin Cty, MN July 10, 1915. Emmett died January 30, 2005 in Green Bay, Brown Cty, WI, at 89 years of age.

Green Bay Press Gazette February 1, 2005 McMahon, Emmett H. Emmett H. McMahon, 89, Green Bay, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at a local hospital. Born on July 10, 1915, in Doylestown, Wis., he is the son of the late Emmett E. and Anna Laura (Johnson) McMahon. Emmett was married to Anna Zick on Dec. 24, 1938. He served with the Marines during World War II. Emmett returned to work for the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years before retiring as a rural carrier at New Lisbon, Wis. He served on both the Juneau County and town of Fountain boards. Emmett was a past member of the New Lisbon American Legion Post and the Lions Club. He and Ann lived in Mission, Texas, following retirement until they returned to Green Bay to be near their daughter, Kathy. Emmett is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Sandra (Jim) Hoag, Tucson, Ariz.; Kathy (Jeff) Barkow, Green Bay; one son, Hugh (Charlotte) McMahon, Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Malena Kennedy, Laura (Bill) Long, Lori McMahon, Sheila (Tim) Moermond, Erin (Mike) Meinholz, Brian (Christina) Barkow, David Barkow, and Anna Barkow; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Elaine McMahon; one brother, Robert (Jackie) McMahon. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ethel; one baby brother. A memorial service is planned to take place at a later date.
