199. Daniel Joseph5 Kirley (Daniel J.4, Mary Theresa3 McMahon, Hugh Peter2, Edward Matthew1) was born in Otsego, Columbia Cty, WI October 3, 1912. Daniel died November 27, 1971 in Columbia Cty, WI, at 59 years of age. His body was interred November 30, 1927 in St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, Doylestown, WI.
He married twice. He married Dorothy Hansmann. He married Jean Eroen. Columbus Journal Republican December 2, 1971 Daniel Kirley Died Suddenly Daniel J. Kirley, 59, resident of route 1, Columbus, died suddenly at his farm in the Town of Otsego on Saturday, November 27, 1971. He was born in Otsego on October 3, 1912, the son of the late Daniel J. Kirley and his wife, the former Delia Slattery. He was graduated from Columbus High School in 1930 from Columbia Teachers College in 1931. He then attended Oshkosh State University and the University of Wisconsin where he received his masters degree in Elementary Education. He was associated with the Sheboygan School System before becoming principal of the Carl Sandburg School in Madison 16 years ago, the position which he held at the time of his death. Mr. Kirley moved back to the family farm in the Town of Otsego in July 1966 from Madison. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Doylestown. Mr. Kirley is survived by his wife, the former Jean Eroen, route 1, Columbus; a daughter, Donna Mae, Mrs. Thomas Heigle of Westminster, California; a son, Daniel D. of Madison and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 30, in the church with Rev. Roman Wiedholz officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. A prayer service was held on Monday evening in the Jones Funeral Home.
