6. George2 Todish (Martin1) was born in Poland July 26, 1856. George died August 21, 1901 in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, at 45 years of age. His body was interred August 23, 1901 in Potters Field Lot 69.

He married Josephine Mary Sikoygnska in Muskegon, Muskegon Cty, MI, Abt 1882. Josephine was born in Poland 1865. Josephine died September 3, 1946 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI, at 81 years of age. The rosary for Mrs. Josephine Todish will be said Thursday at 7:30 pm. at the Daly funeral home. Funeral service will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Jude's Catholic Church. Marinette Eagle August 22, 1901 Killed In a Strange Manner Big Splinter Struck Burt Toddish, of Menominee, in Mouth and Passed Through Coming Out at Back of Neck. - Died in Two Minutes Burt Toddish, an edgerman, employed in the Burns & Hicks mill, was killed in a tragic manner last night. He was at work as usual when a heavy splinter flew back, penetrated his mouth and passed clear through and came out at the back of the neck. Death resulted in two minutes after the accident. The spinal cord is supposed to have been severed. He was a man about forty-five years old and is survived by a wife and family. He has lived for years in Menominee and was very well known.

Daily News August 7, 1944 Martin A. Todish Martin A. Todish, 321 West Grand Ave., a resident of Beloit for the last 25 years, died Sunday night at the hospital after an illness of several days. Mr. Todish was 58 years old. He was born at Muskegon, Mich., and he was employed in the maintenance department, Northwestern railroad here. He was a member of St. Thomas' church. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Josephine Todish, Beloit; four brothers, Frank Todish, chief warrant officer, U.S.A., John Todish, Racine, Walter Todish, Beloit, and George Todish, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. B.C. McComb, Beloit, Mrs. Sophia Carter, Racine, a number of nieces and nephews, including six nephews in the armed forces. August 8, 1944 Martin A. Todish Funeral services for Martin A. Todish, 321 W. Grand Ave., who died Sunday night at the hospital, will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the E.A. Daley funeral home, and at 8:30 a.m. at St. Thomas' church. The Rev. Father Frances E. Doherty will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 o'clock tonight.

Her body was interred June 10, 1993 in Holy Cross Catholic Cemtery, Caledonia. She married Harold Carter. Journal Times June 8, 1993 Carter, Sophie G. (Nee: Todish) of Racine Age 97. Passed away Monday, June 7, 1993, at the Lincoln Lutheran Home. She was born on April 29, 1896, in Menominee, Mich., daughter of the late George and Josephine Todish. She was employed as a Secretary by the Eagles Club. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Eagles Club, the Moose Lodge, Royal Neighbors, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are a nephew, John (Evelyn) Todish of Racine; two great-nieces, Patricia (James) Laursen of Caledonia, Wis., Kathleen (David) Obuchowski of Racine; three great-great-nieces and nephew, Teresa (Jim) Cook of Racine, Donald Luccason of Racine, Nicole Obuchowski of Racine; three great-great-great-nieces and nephew, Rebecca, Joshua and Rachel Cook; other nieces and nephews, Arlyce Trossen of Greely, Colo., Margaret Thill of Milton, Wis., Gertrude Case of Beloit, Wis., Virginia Lamb of Beloit, Wis., Irene Eberhard of Grand Rapids, Mich, Jack and Mary Todish of Boynton Beach, Fla., Don and Alice Todish of Richmond, Ky.; and a very dear friend, Ginger Blessinger. Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 1993, at 9 a.m. at Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home and with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, corner of St. Patrick's and Erie Streets, with Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 1993, from 5 until 8 p.m. with an Eagle Memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Highway 32.
