48. Walter Joseph3 Todish (George2, Martin1) was born July 31, 1893. Walter died October 14, 1949 at 56 years of age.
He married Hazel Starr Cary December 17, 1912. Hazel was born in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI May 5, 1894. Hazel died March 29, 1925 in South Beloit, Winnebago Cty, IL, at 30 years of age.(10) Her body was interred March 31, 1925 in Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam. Beloit Daily News March 30, 1925 Mrs. Hazel Todish Stricken Suddenly After Brief Illness Mrs. Hazel Todish, wife of Walter J. Todish, widely known in amateur and semi-professional baseball circles, died very suddenly at her home, 336 South Bluff street, early Sunday morning. She had been ill with a cold and complications for about a week but was thought to have been making satisfactory recovery. Late Saturday night she was stricken suddenly worse and death come shortly after 1 o'clock Sunday morning. Five little children are made motherless by her death. Mrs. Todish, formerly Miss Hazel Cary, was born in Beloit on May 5, 1894 and her entire life was spend here. She was married on December 1, 1912, to Mr. Todish. Besides her husband she is survived by five children, Ross, 10; Virginia, 8; Walter, Jr., Russell, 3, and James, aged 10 months. A daughter, Josephine, died on February 2, 1920. Other relatives who survive are an aunt, Mrs. A. T. Hallett, and an uncle John Magilton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Rosman-Kinzer chapel in Grand avenue. The H. A. Studebaker, pastor of the Second Congregational church, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit, died Tuesday at Beloit Memorial Hospital following a short illness. A South Beloit area resident for most of
his life, he was born Nov. 8, 1914, in Beloit the son of Walter J. and Hazel Cary Todish. He married Sue J. Love on June 5, 1949, in Lake
Worth, Fla. She died June 29, 1984. He was employed as a carpenter for many years. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of
Carpenters Local No. 792 of Rockford. Survivors include one sister, Virginia (Mrs. Charles) Lamb of Beloit; three brothers, Donald (Alice)
Todish of Richmond, KY., Russell (Lois) Todish of Bay City, Texas, and James (Mary) Todish of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Evergreen Cemetery
in Solon Springs, Wis. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Roseman-Uehling-Kinzer Blackhawk Chapel. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to Beloit Hospice Inc.
