She married Clinton C Gustafson in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, February 14, 1940. Clinton was born in Faithorn, MI July 10, 1916. Clinton died April 13, 1987 in Marinette, Marinette Cty, WI, at 70 years of age. His body was interred April 16, 1987 in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI. Marinette Eagle-Star April 14, 1987 Clinton C. "Swede" Gustafson Clinton C. "Swede" Gustafson, 70, of 712 6th Ave., Menominee, died Monday at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette. He was born July 10, 1916, in Faithorn. He married the former Pearl Deschaine Dec. 14, 1940, in Menominee. He served in the Army during World War II. He retired in 1978 from Menominee Paper Co., where he had been a maintenance man. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church, the Menominee American Legion, and a life member of the Menominee Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Larry Boquet of Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. Larry Arsineau of Menominee; a son, John of Menominee; two sisters, Mrs. Einar Johnson and Mrs. Francis VanOverneiren, both of Norway, Mich., his twin brother, Clifford, of Hermansville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother, a sister and a granddaughter died previously. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kell-Walker Funeral Home. A VFW and American Legion visitation will be held at 6:30. Liturgical prayers will be said at 7. Final rites will be held there at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Patrick Wisneske will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. The former Pear Deschaine, daughter of the late Wilbert and Rose (Todish) Deschaine, was born on February 19, 1913 in Hiles, Wisconsin. She married Clinton "Swede" Gustafson on December 14, 1940 in Menominee. He preceded her in death on April13, 1987. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Donna) Bouquet of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Mrs. Larry (Bonnie) Arsineau of Menominee; 1 son, John (Mary) Gustafson of Menominee; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Kell-Walker Funeral home. VFW Auxiliary visitation at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Father Patrick Wisneske officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
