181. Gertrude Alicia⁴ McComb (Helen Marion³ Todish, George², Martin¹) was born in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI August 24, 1915. Gertrude died December 4, 2003 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI, at 88 years of age. Her body was interred December 10, 2003 in Mt. Thabor Cemetery.

She married George Royal Case in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA, October 1, 1938. George was born in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI April 12, 1916. George was the son of Howard G. Case and Blanche Hollister. George died October 26, 1988 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI, at 72 years of age. His body was interred in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Beloit Daily News October 26, 1988 Case George R. Case, 72, of 648 McKinley Ave., died this morning in the Beloit Convalescent Center. He was born April 12, 1916 in Beloit, the son of Howard G. and Blanche Hollister Case. He married Gertrude A. McComb Oct. 1, 1938 in Dubuque, Ia. He was employed as a machinist at Fairbanks Morse. Co. where he was a member of the Fairbanks & Morse Co. Quarter Century Club. He retired in 1980. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Gertrude; one son Robert G. (MaryAnn) Case of Beloit; one daughter, Mary Jane (Mrs. Robert) Pilsner of Delware, Ohio, three grandchildren, Robert Case, Ronald Case and Kevin Pilsner; one sister Mrs. Thresa Jero of Beloit; four brothers, Howard Case, Richard Case, Arthur Case and Charles Case, all of Beloit; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Fred Case. Prayers services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Chapel with a funeral mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude's Catholic church with the Rev. Father Richard Lenarz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral chapel. Gertrude A. Case, 88, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, December 4, 2003 in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 24, 1915 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Burton C. and Helen Todish McComb. Gertrude married George R. Case on October 1, 1938 in Dubuque, IA. He predeceased her on October 26, 1988. Survivors include one son, Robert G. (Mary Ann) Case of Beloit, WI; and one daughter Mary Jane (Mrs. Robert) Pilsner of Delaware, OH; three grandchildren, Robert Case, Ronald Case, Kevin Pilsner; one sister, Margaret Thill; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and five brothers, Clifford McComb, William McComb, Joseph McComb, Charles McComb, and Theodore R. McComb. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2003 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Steven J. Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m until the time of service Wednesday in the church. Memorials may be given in her name to St. Jude Catholic Church.
