194. Russell Allen⁴ Todish Sr. (Walter Joseph³, George², Martin¹) was born in South Beloit, Winnebago Cty, IL October 31, 1921. Russell died August 5, 1990 in Matagorda Cty, TX, at 68 years of age.

He married Lois Jean Holzaepfel December 10, 1945. Lois was born in Pekin, IL February 5, 1927. Lois was the daughter of Chris Holzaepfel and Clara Booker. Lois died December 6, 2001 in Richmond, TX, at 74 years of age. Lois participated in the death2 (conflicting) event December 9, 2001 in Cedarvale Cemetery. The Daily Tribune Matagorda County, Texas Sunday, December 9, 2001 Todish Lois J. Todish, 74, of Bay City, passed away Thursday, Dec 6, 2001 at the Poly Ryan Health Center in Richmond. Lois was born in Pekin, Illinois, on Feb. 5, 1927, to parents, Chris and Clara Booker Holzaepfel. She was a life-time member of the First Christian Church of Bay City and a member of the V F W Ladies Auxiliary Post 4459 of Matagorda. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Todish, Sr. She is survived by a son, Russell Todish, Jr. of Alvin, son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Rick) and Carolyn Todish of Rosenberg, daughter, Denise Todish Dickerson of Van Vleck and brother and sister-in-law, Carman and Norma Holzaepfel of Matagorda. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Clint, Jeff, Julia, Tim, David Lee, Michael, Adam and Robin, and great-grandchildren, Jayla and Collin as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9 at the First Christian Church in Bay City with Rev. Sharon Lang officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint, Jeff, and Tim Todish, David Lee Kaack, Michael and Adam Dickerson and Donnie Dornak. Visitation with family will be Saturday, Dec. 8 from 3-5 p.m. at Bay City Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Memorial Fund of the First Christian Church of Bay City. Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Mr. Todish was born Oct. 31, 1921, to Walter and Hazel Starr Cary Todish in South Beloit, Ill., and died Aug. 5, 1990, at Matagorda General Hospital. He retired from Central Power & Light after 33 years of service and was a member of the First Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois Jean Holzaepfel Todish of Bay City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell A. Jr. and Tommie Todish of Bay City and Richard Keith and Carolyn Todish of Rosenberg; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise Starr and Richard Dickerson of Van Vleck; two brothers, Jack Todish of Boynton Beach, Fla. And Don Todish of Richmond, Ky.; a sister, Virginia Lam of Beloit, Wis.; eight grandchildren and a host of friends. Pallbearers are Michael Dickerson, Clint Todish, Jeff Todish, Donnie Dornak, Henry Hildreth and Carman Holzaepfel. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Long, Rex Teat and Deacons and Elders of First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First Christian Church Building Fund. Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins of Bay City Funeral home.
