82. Dorothy4 Todish (Joseph Allen3, John2, Martin1) was born in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI November 22, 1905. Dorothy died January 20, 1994 in Peshtigo, Marinette Cty, WI, at 88 years of age. Her body was interred in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI.
She married Clarence Collins in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, October 29, 1924. Clarence was born in Wisconsin June 13, 1906. Clarence died February 3, 1968 in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, at 61 years of age. His body was interred in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI. Marinette Eagle-Star February 5, 1968 C. Collins Dies While Driving Clarence J. Collins, 61, of 4217 6th St., Menominee, die of an apparent heart attack while driving his automobile on 13th St. near 23rd Ave., about 6:55 p.m. Saturday, police at Menominee reported today. Police said the Collins vehicle was traveling north on 13th St. when Mr. Collins apparently suffered a fatal heart attack and the vehicle veered out of control and struck a parked car owned by Arthur W. Gothe, 1012 15th Ave., Menominee. The impact pushed the parked car over a curb and into a fence on property of Charles Slawinski, 2232 13th St., Menominee. Mr. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by a physician police stated. Police sad the death is not counted as a traffic fatality. Mr. Collins had been employed by the Menominee Publishing Company for the past two years and was also self-employed in construction work. He married the former Dorothy Todish in 1924 in Menominee. A lifelong resident of Menominee, Mr. Collins was a member of St. William Church. During World War II he served with the Army. He was born June 13, 1906, in Menominee. Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Dennis Collard, of Menominee, and Mrs. Leonard Roubal of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Astranaska, Daytona, Fla.; and Mrs. Leona LaFonde and Mrs. Donald Johns, both of Menominee; two brothers, Leo and Raymond Collins of Menominee and eight grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Kell funeral home where a parish rosary will be said at 8 p.m. A mass will be said at 9 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Louis Bracket in St. William Church. Collins, age 88, of 2400 10th Street, Menominee, went to our Lord on Thursday, January 20, 1994 at Rennes Health Center, Peshtigo, where she had resided the past 2 years. The former Dorothy Todish, daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Smith Todish, was born on November 22, 1905 in Menominee. She married Clarence Collins on October 29, 1924 in Menominee. He preceded her in death February 3, 1968. She was a member of Resurrection Church. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Robert Wayne in 1930, 2 sisters Leone Peck and Eunice Anderson, and one brother, Ralph. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. June (Dennis) Collard, Menominee; Mrs. Jeanne (Leonard) Roubal, Loveland, Colo.; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 2 sisters, Margaret Ahearn, Menominee; and Lorraine Banks, Lansing, Mich. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kell-Walker Funeral Home. Wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Church. Father Rick Courier will officiate. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
