58. Marcella3 Todish (Thomas2, Martin1)(13) was born in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI March 3, 1908. Marcella died May 5, 1964 in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, at 56 years of age. Her body was interred May 8, 1964 in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI.
She married Edward J Slawinski in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, 1934. Edward was born in Buffalo, NY January 13, 1908. Edward died October 1986 at 78 years of age. Slawinski Menominee - Edward J. Slawinski, 78, of 2000-23rd Ave., died peacefully at his home Monday morning. Mr. Slawinski was born Jan. 13, 1908, in Buffalo, N.Y., coming to Menominee as a child. He worked for the former Signal Electric Co. for 56 years, retiring in 1975. He was married to the former Marcella Todish in 1934. She preceded him in death in May, 1964. On Oct. 16, 1970, he married to former Ciszewski. Mr. Slawinski was active in the Menominee Little League program, serving as president for several years. He also served as an alderman on the Menominee city council for several years and was a member of Resurrection Church, the Men's club of the church and the Menominee Eagles Club. Surviving are his widow; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Judy Slawinski of Pennsauken, N.J., and Bucky and Julie Slawinski of Menominee; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Joan) Kiefer of Menominee and Mrs. James (Sally) Meineke of Green Bay; one step-son, Al and Glenda Banaszynski of Green Bay; one step-daughter, Mrs. Roger (Ruth) Gustafson of Escanaba; two brothers, Frank of Marinette and John of Boulder Creek, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Sophie) Inman and Mrs. Lucille Paasch of Menominee, Mrs. Charles (Victoria) Moker of Milwaukee and Mrs. August (Josephine) Boehm of Haines City, Fla.; 20 grandchildren. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Lemieux-Thielen Funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Liturgical prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Resurrection Church with Rev. Norman Clisch officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Meineke, Melvin Kiefer, Al Banaszynski, Roger Gustafson, Roger Kramer and Douglas Moker. Slawinski, 56, of 2000 23rd Aven., lifelong resident of Menominee, died Tuesday in the family home after an illness of many years. The former Marcella Todish was born March 3, 1908, at Menominee. She was married to Mr. Slawinski in 1934 at Menominee. She was a member of St. Adalbert's church and Altar Society. Surviving with her husband are two sons, Joseph of West Ben and Edward Jr., of Menominee; two daughters, Miss Joan Slawinski and Mrs. James Meineke of Chicago; a sister Mrs. Paul Tech of Milwaukee; and three brothers, Gaylord of Racine, Schofield of Milwaukee and Thomas Todish of Gary, Ind. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Victor A. Karch will intone the 9a.m., requiem mass Friday at St. Adalbert's church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Lemieux funeral home after 2 p.m., Thursday. Eagles visitation will be at 7 p.m., and the Golden Age Club at 7:30 p.m. The parish rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
