30. Catherine3 Sobay (Mary2 Todish, Martin1) was born in Poland December 18, 1878. Catherine died June 15, 1948 in Escanaba, Delta Cty, Michigan, at 69 years of age. Her body was interred in Holy Cross Cemetery.
She married Joseph Mileski in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, July 15, 1897. Joseph was born in Poland September 18, 1867. Joseph was the son of Joseph Mileski and Marianna Rebinska. Joseph died January 18, 1956 in Escanaba, Delta Cty, Michigan, at 88 years of age. His body was interred in Holy Cross Cemetery. January 19, 1956 Joseph Mileski Taken by Death Joseph Mileski, 88, of 1111 Stephenson Avenue, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital, where he had been a patient the past six weeks for treatment of a stroke. Born in Poland Sept. 19, 1867. Mr. Mileski came to the United States when he was 16 to make his home in Menominee. His marriage took place there. He moved to Escanaba in 1905 and operated a tavern and boarding house at 1531 Sheridan Road until he retired in 1945. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle church. Surviving are the following children, William of Duluth, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Hemil, Escanaba, Mrs. Frank (Violet) Schmidt, Chicago and Edward, Blanche, Clarence and Mrs. Robert (Camille) Smithwick, Escanaba, 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mileski died June 15, 1948. Friends may call at the Allo Funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at St. Thomas church Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Arnold Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. June 16, 1948 Death Claims Mrs. Mileski Heart Attack Fatal to Aged Local Woman Mrs. Catherine Mileski, 69, a resident of Escanaba for many years, died suddenly at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon following a heart attack at her home, 1111 Stephenson avenue. Born Dec. 18, 1878 in Poland, Mrs. Mileski had lived in this community since 1892. She was a member of St. Joseph's Altar Society. Surviving are her husband, Joseph, and the following children, William of Milwaukee, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Hemil of Escanaba, Mrs. Frank (Violet) Schmidt of Chicago, Edward, Blanche and Clarence of Escanaba, and Mrs. Robert (Camille) Smithwick of Escanaba. Four sisters, Mrs. Mary Quever and Mrs. Herbert Larson of Menominee, Mrs. Wesley Randall of Cloquet, Minn., and Mrs. Thomas Grabowski of Escanaba; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. The body will be in state this evening at the Allo funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday with the solemn requiem high mass in St. Joseph's church, with the Rev. Fr. Patrick celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

Mileski, 82, 1111 Stephenson Ave., Escanaba, died Friday morning April 17, at St. Francis hospital. Miss Mileski was born July 15, 1909, in
Escanaba, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Sobay) Mileski. She graduated from St. Joseph High School and attended Cloverland
Commercial College in Escanaba and Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She had been employed as the bookkeeper for Home Supply Furniture for
many years prior to her retirement in 1974. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle church and was a former member of the Highland Golf
Club, and the Escanaba Business and Professional Women's Club. Surviving are: two sisters, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Hemil and Mrs. Robert
(Camille) Smithwick and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lillian Mileski, all of Escanaba; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of Miss
Mileski, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be offered on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle church with the Rev.
Emmett Norden officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Crawford funeral home.
