He married Mary (Mamie) Parsek. Mary was born in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI January 10, 1883. Mary died December 29, 1960 in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, at 77 years of age. Marinette Eagle Star December 29, 1960 Stricken Today At Menominee Mrs. Mary Sobay, 77, lifelong resident of Menominee and widow of Frank Sobay, died at 7:40 a.m., today in the Menominee Nursing Home after an illness of a year and a half. The former Mary Parsek was born Jan. 10, 1883, in Menominee. He husband died in 1925. Mrs. Sobay was a member of St. Adalbert's church and the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are two sons and three daughters. They are Lawrence and Lester Sobay, Mrs. Harold Leitzke and Mrs. Robert Kohlbeck of Menominee and Mrs. Robert McWilliams of Marinette. Also surviving are two brothers, John and James Parsek; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Hannot, Mrs. Gertrude Lerret and Mrs. Elizabeth Jarvis, all of Menominee, 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Rev. Victor Karch will be celebrant of the 9 a.m., requiem mass Saturday in St. Adalbert's church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the Lemieux-DeGayner funeral home from 2 p.m., Friday until the hour of the rites. Christian Mothers society will assemble for the rosary at 3 p.m., and the parish vigil will be at 8 p.m.

Bernice Sobay was born about 1916. Bernice died October 23, 1932 in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI, at 16
years of age. Herald Leader October 25, 1932 Bernice Sobay Succumbs to Auto Injuries Was Crushed Under Truck in Collision with
Car Sunday Night Bernice Sobay, 16, 3501 Elizabeth Street, who was fatally injured Sunday about 11 p.m. when she was pinned under an
overturned truck at the intersection of Campbell avenue and North State street, died shortly after midnight last night in St. Joseph's
hospital. A crushed vertebrae in neck had completely paralyzed the young woman's body. Miss Sobay was born in Menominee, the daughter of
Frank and Mary Sobay, and was educated in the Menominee schools. She was in her junior year at Menominee High School. Besides her widowed
mother, she is survived by the following brothers and sister: Mrs. Harold Leitzke, Marinette; Lawrence, Leonard, Elizabeth, Lester,
Genevieve and Kenneth at home. Her father died a few years ago. The body will be taken to the family home from the Lemieux funeral home at
1:30 Wednesday afternoon and the funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Adelbert's church. Rev. Father Victor Karch
will officiate. Internment will be in the family lot at Riverside. Millard Locke, Rte 1, Marinette the driver of the car which struck the
truck in which Miss Sobay was riding when she was fatally injured, has been held in county jail since the crash Sunday night. Police Chief
Frank Parsek today said in the absence from the city Prosecutor F. Earl Lanthier no formal charge has been made against Locke, but that he
may be charged with negligent homicide. Herald Leader Hold Rites for Bernice Sobay A requiem mass was celebrated this morning
in St. Adelbert's church for Miss Bernice Sobay, 16 year old daughter of Mrs. Mary Sobay of Elizabeth Street who was fatally injured in an
automobile accident Sunday evening, and the church was crowded to capacity with relatives and friends of the deceased and her family.
Leaving the family home at 8:30 the cortege went directly to the church where Rev. Father Victor Karch offered the mass at 9 o'clock. A
beautiful array of flowers, silent tributes from a wide circle of friends, surrounded the casket in the home, and during the funeral there
were in charge of the Misses Dolores Janowitz, Eunice Todish, Dolores Phelps, Carmen Schomer, Bernice Motto and Mildred Mileski. Bearing
the casket to its final resting place were Ralph Hartl, Joseph Kaminski, Fred Phelps, Ralph Quever, Stephen Tessier and Albert Lessard. Miss
Sobay's body was interred in an evergreen lined grave in the family lot at Riverside beside the graves of her father, who died several years
ago, and a young sister, who was killed when struck by an automobile. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mileski of Escanaba were here to attend the
funeral.
