122. Kenneth4 Sobay (Frank3, Mary2 Todish, Martin1) was born in Menominee, Menominee Cty, MI September 15, 1925. Kenneth died May 26, 1952 in Far East, at 26 years of age.

He married Dawn Mullins March 5, 1949. Dawn is the daughter of Percy Mullins. Marinette Eagle Star June 2, 1952 Kenneth Sobay Dies in Service Survive by Wife, One Daughter Kenneth Sobay, 26, a seaman who served aboard the Destroyer Escort USS Edmonds in Korean waters since his re-enlistment in 1951, died Memorial Day enroute to Tripler Hospital in Japan, his wife has been notified by the defense department. The telegram received by Mrs. Sobay, the former Dawn Mullins, said further details would follow by letter. Formerly residing at 271 Hattie St., she is now living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Mullins, 17 Cottage Row. Sobay re-enlisted in the Navy in January 1951, after previous service from March 6, 1943, to Feb. 9, 1946. He married March 5, 1949. The couple has a daughter Mary Margaret. Besides his wife and daughter he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Sobay of Menominee; two brothers Lawrence and Robert of Menominee; three sisters, Mrs. Richard Leitzke and Mrs. Robert McWilliams of Marinette, and Mrs. Robert Kohlbeck of Menominee. Sobay, who was born Sept. 15, 1925, in Menominee, attended Menominee High School. Before his second tour of duty he was employed by the Canada Dry Bottling Co.
