14. Sophia Esther3 Udelhofen (Gerhart (Jerry)2, Nicholas1) was born in Grant Cty, WI February 1902. Sophia died October 23, 1993 in Platteville, Grant Cty, WI, at 91 years of age. Her body was interred in Platteville, Grant Cty, WI.

She married Pearley Joseph Reiter in Grant Cty, WI, August 2, 1922. Pearley was born in Grant Cty, WI November 20, 1901. Pearley was the son of Engelbert Reiter and Minnie Jane Withrow. Pearley died March 7, 1968 in Platteville, Grant Cty, WI, at 66 years of age. His body was interred March 11, 1968 in Calvary Cemetery. Platteville Journal March 14, 1968 Pearley J. Reiter Pearley J. Reiter, 66, Platteville, died Thursday, March 8, 1968 at the Platteville Municipal hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday, March 12, 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Msgr. John DeRocher officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. The rosary was recited at the Mergen Funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Mr. Reiter was born on a farm in Paris township November 20, 1901. He attended the Boomer school. He was united in marriage to the former Sophia Udelhofen on August 2, 1922. They spent their entire life on the same farm south of Platteville. They moved to the city of Platteville one month ago. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving are his wife, two daughters (Marcellia) Mrs. Kent Moberg, Loves Park, Ill.; (Eileen) Mrs. Gerald Pett, Fort Dodge, Iowa; six grandchildren and one siters, Mrs. Harry Udelhofen, Platteville. Platteville Journal October 26, 1993 Sophie E. Reiter Sophie Reiter, 91 of Platteville, died Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 1993, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in Platteville. Fr. Mike Doro will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call at the Mergen Boll Funeral home, or at the church on Tuesday after 9 a.m. A parish scripture service was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Reiter, the daughter of Gerhard and Emma VanNatta Udelhofen, was born on Feb. 2, 1902, at Tennyson. She attended school at Tennyson and worked as a housekeeper. On Aug 2, 1922, she was united in marriage to Pearley Reiter. They farmed in the Platteville area until1964 when they moved to Platteville. He died in 1964. Mrs. Reiter was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville and the Conference of Catholic Church Women. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and one sister. Surviving are two daughters, Marcella (Kent) Moberg of Loves Park, Ill., and Eileen Pett of Salt Lake City, Utah; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Bierman of Tennyson, and Bessie (Clyde) Klaur of Beetown.
