He married Anita L. McReynolds in Tennyson, Grant Cty, WI, October 15, 1929. Anita was born in Georgetown, WI March 21, 1912. Anita was the daughter of Robert McReynolds and Edna Fager. Anita died December 24, 2002 in Dickeyville, Grant Cty, WI, at 90 years of age. Her body was interred December 27, 2002 in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Dickeyville, WI. She was born on March 21 1912, in Georgetown, the daughter of Robert and Edna (Fager) McReynolds. On October 15, 1929, she married Bernard Udelhofen at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1985. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church of Dickeyville. She is survived by seven children, Kathleen (Ray) Herbsleb of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Robert (Florence) Udelhofen of Platteville, Jerry (Mary Lou) Udelhofen of Potosi, Phyllis Genthe of Cuba City, Jacob (Joanne) Udelhofen of Potosi, Donald (Doris) Udelhofen of Potosi and Ronald (Helen) Udelhofen of Dickeyville; 26 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Ruth Bierman of Potosi; a brother-in-law, Virgil Runde of Cuba City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bernard and her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandsons, Kyle Udelhofen, Ryan Udelhofen, and Dennis Wallig; two sisters, Hilda Kauffman and Helen Runde and a brother, Robert Mc Reynolds. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville with Father Francis Steffen officiating with burial in the Holy Ghost Cemetery. Udelhofen, 76, of 365 N Center St., Dickeyville, died early Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center, Dubuque. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Ghost Church, Dickeyville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Friday at Haudenshield Funeral home, Cuba City, Wis., where the parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Udelhofen was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, the former Anita McReynolds; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Kathleen) Herbsleb of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Harold (Phyllis) Genthe of Cuba City; fives sons, Robert of Tucson, Ariz., and Jacob, Ronald and Donald all of Potosi, Wis., and Jerry of Platteville, Wis.; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a brother Harry of Platteville, and three sisters, Mrs. Pearley (Sophie) Reuter of Platteville, Mrs. Clyde (Bessie) Clauer of Glen Haven, Wis., and Mrs. Oliver (Ruth) Bierman of Potosi.
