She married Philip John Ames. Philip was born in Wisconsin October 23, 1898. Philip was the son of Andrew Ames. Philip died January 30, 1988 in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA, at 89 years of age. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tennyson, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Metcalfe-Kuenster Funeral home, Potosi, where the wake service will said at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Ames was born Oct. 22, 1898, in Wisconsin. He was an auctioneer and farmed in the Potosi area all of his life and was an honorary member of the Southwest Wisconsin Sportsmen's Club. His wife Mabel, died March 10, 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Gloria) Curtis of Potosi and Mrs. Richard (Janet) Dempsey of Gainesville, Va.; three sons, Jerry, Larry and Gene, all of Potosi; 18 grandchildren; step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 26 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Sara Arcand of Stillwater, Minn.; and five brothers, John of Dubuque, Wilford of Bear Lake, Mich., Henry of Mount Clemens, Mich., Bert of Detroit and Oliver of Potosi. Surviving are her husband, Philip; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Gloria) Curtis of Eagan, Minn., Mrs. Richard (Janet) Dempsey of Little Fall, Minn.; three sons, Jerry, Larry and Gene, all of Potosi; three sisters, Mrs. Sophia Reiter of Platteville, Mrs. Clyde (Bessie) Clauer of Glen Haven, Wis., and Mrs. Ruth Bierman of Potosi; two brothers, Harry Udelhofen of Platteville and Bernard O. Udelhofen of Dickeyville, and 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
